Featured Azerbaijan Armenian War

Makes total sense. Continuation of war, even if the results would have been the same would just have taken more toll on both civilians as well as the Azeri military. Very wise decision from their leadership to accept the Armenian surrender without further bloodshed.
Risk of having missles over baku or dams and oil pipelines was still there...so keeping that in mind a wise decision
Cant see what 301 tweeted, can you let me know what he said or what you were trying to quote?
The guy went underground once armenia lost he was spear heading their compaign before lol

Was it confirmed Wagner was involved?
Wagner itself wasn't confirmed, just that russian mercs were involved. Wagner is the only Russian group I can think of that would have the capability to go toe to toe with an actual standing army. It would also make sense, as Wagner has been involved in every major conflict that involves russia both directly and indirectly, and would be the only group to receive permission from the Kremlin.
Without a doubt this has been the bloodiest war in Armenia and Azerbaijan history. 1400 Azerbaijani martyrs in a month. That's serious shit.

No.
No one is asking you. Stay out of our conversation.

Did Azerbaijan get what they wanted? And even if the Armenian government agree to this, will the civilians agree to it? Cause I can see them trying to do something about it themselves. Probably even the Armenian troops.

.
Its a decent deal for both sides
Azeri get all 7 district which value 100x more than NK proper and had a million population kicked out in 1990s..they have taken half but will get the other half
They keep shusha which is very important

And then avoid mass blood shed or damage to azerbaijan proper ..so all in all a win..

Russia forced both parties..
That's assuming Armenia's military accepts the peace deal, which may not end up happening.

This is the map of the front lines. AZE gets to keep maybe 10% of NK and the 7 regions.

Armenia gets to keep 90% of NK and a 5km corridor to illegally occupied lands.

Presumably Armanian army gets to stay in NK.

So Azerbaijan fought a war to return the 7 regions. Armenia gets to keep all the resources in NK and water and dams.

If thats the best AZE could do. ok, but It think its massive victory to armneia considering what position they were in.

Armenians are like the serbs in Bosnia, they were protesting against the peace agreement without realising how good it was. In 10 years ARM will be celebrating this agreement, just as the Serbs celebrate the peace agreement now. Once they realise it saved them to total destruction and gave them more than they deserve.

One thing is that NK still has no status. Aliyev mentioned in his speech. And what AZE got more than %10 from NK. This way Armenia officially recognised that 7 regions theat they ceased to Azerbaijan is Azerbaijan's. So they can't claim it in the future. While AZE still has claims in NK since it is still AZ's territory. With this agreemnt AZ put that 7 region question out of the picture. But the issue of the karabag still remains. Now that portion of karabag surrounded by Azerbaijan, It's biggest city 2 km away from Azeris and connected to Armenia with a thin corridor. There is no way armenia can hold on to it if they start fighting in the future.

Armenia's army seems to be against it, at least some serious officers from the army.

Russia will force the issue, if Armenia rejects it. The opinion of the masses is irrelevant, and only matter when considering if the current armenian gov stays in power or not.

Uh, the agreement says Armenia would hand over all the 7 districts, and also leave NK over the coming few week. Russian (and Turkish, according to Aliyev) peacekeepers would be deployed to make sure both sides are adhering to the agreement.

No idea where you got this thought that Armenia would be keeping any territory. Why do you think Armenians are so mad right now?

The opinion of the masses is relevant if some take it in their own hands if they have lost their homes. Think about it. You just lost your home and the territory has been taken over, what would you do? Yeah speculation, but you've seen what civilians do when turning to guerilla warfare. And if more deaths come, then the conflict could be renew. And as you said some of the military personnel are against it. Reminds me of the Japanese Army trying to stage a coup when they realize their Emperor was going to surrender in WW2.

That's an emotional appeal, geopolitics doesn't care about emotions. The masses in Armenia won't matter, because they don't live in Azerbaijani liberated areas, nor do they live in NK. the Armenian civilians that do(did) live in the region have largely fled to Armenia, and the few that are left won't be much if a threat. It's also unlikely they'll return to live under Azeri rule, even if they do have autonomy, considering Azerbaijan would have the right to revoke the autonomy at any time in the future.

A gurrilla war will likely not work, as Azerbaijan can easily accuse Armenia of supporting an insurgency, and use that as casus belli to end any ties Armenia has to NK.

Armenia will be keeping 90% of NK. Its status is not resolved, but they are keeping it as they have kept it for the past 30 years. Maybe Armenian army will not be there, but the "Atrsak defence force" will stay. with 200 tanks? s300's? And a 5km lifeline controlled by the russians. So they can rearm with all they have already lost.

I don't think this is a great situation.

Returning Armenians will not live under Azeri rule, they will live under rule of the unrecognised republic of Artshak. as they have done for the last 30 years. This is just a ceasefire, and Russians will keep them safe from the AZE army.

An emotional appeal that makes an impact in geopolitics and have been shown in past conflicts. I'm betting that some Armenians would love to provoke a new conflict, and do hit and run attacks figuring the spent blood is not worth it for the Azeris and run back to Armenia under Russian protection besides Armenia.
