Armenia occupied sovereign Azeri territory and changed demographics via genocide. They deserve not one ounce of pity.

Armenians deserve to feel the wrath of 30 year Azeri rage and anger.

Russia is not going to step in. Iran also fears its 40% Azeri population.

Some Americans, Europeans, and Australian neo-crusaders have sympathies with Armenia, but they are too far away to do anything.

Even Armenia's northern Christian neighbor Georgia has refused to help.

As far as some ppl saying to take over Afghanistan, they r just fools, if USSR and US and NATO couldnt take it then how can we and why would we? We have no shortage of land. Pakistan even have not shown interest in taking wakhan corridor, as it was given to Afghanistan by british and was a disteict of chitral. Wakhan can give Pakistan immense advantage as it give a land border with Tajikistan but still we avoid it. Pakistan policy is very clear and that is peace and stability in Afghanistan, this is also demand of china and requirement for success of CPEC. No one wants to take land of Afghanistan and have more issues, taking land means taking the people as well and we cannot afford more problems. Our focus should be developing our existing land, visit balochistan and u will realize how huge and immense land we have and no development.

Five points

1. The peace talks are going nowhere because Armenia is refusing to budge (to withdraw from occupying Nagorno-Karabakh plus 7 surrounding regions in phases or all at once, with the usual guarantees for civilians, even settlers – note that when they went in in the early 1990s they cleansed those lands of literally all Azerbaijanis, something like between 700,000 and 1 million people).

2. Aliyev was under the impression that Pashinyan “was willing to compromise and began preparing his people and then looked like someone with egg on his face when it didn’t happen.”

3. Turkey has made it crystal clear it will support Azerbaijan unconditionally, and has matched those words with deeds.

4. The longer the war, the more instability Iranian Azerbaijan become. Iranian Azeri are fuming that government supporting Armenia.

5. In such circumstances, Russia and Iran got outplayed – in the sense that they had been able to play off Armenia against Azerbaijan and vice versa, quite successfully, helping to mediate talks that went nowhere, preserving the status quo that effectively favored Armenia.

Khamenei is Azeri on his father's side, so he identifies with the struggle Azerbaycan. Like many Azeris, he has kinship and love for Azerbaycan, which the Iranian deep-state (IRG, clerics) does not have.

Obviously this reveals serious divisions internally in Iran about the support to Armenia. With a 40% Azeri population, Iran is playing with fire here.
