LDA officials said work on this project started on January 15. They said traffic coming from Data Darbar, Shahdara and Timber Market for Circular Road will be diverted to Maulana Ahmed Ali Road and Lorry Adda. For smooth flow of traffic at Ravi Road, an elevated round about and a fly over was constructed.

The flyover starts from Texali Chowk and ends at Timber Market. The overall length of the interchange is 2.53 kilometer. LDA officials said over two hundred thousand vehicles an average will pass through this junction, saving fuel of Rs 9 million per annum.

New Circlular Road was also part of this project, which was completed with an estimated cost of Rs 1.35 billion and its length is 1.6 kilometer. This two-lane road is 14.7 meters wide on both sides and comprises over four lanes each and every lane is 3.3 meter wide. A round about and two U-turns were also made on this road. This new road was started from Maulana Ahmed Ali Road and then connects Minar-e-Pakistan, Lorry Adda, Badami Bagh, Masti Gate and Circular Road.

Likewise the construction work on Chungi Amarsadhu Interchange is also going on full scale.

Sources said the LDA high ups had directed completion of this project in mid July 2014. They said the authority wanted to complete construction of this project before monsoon rains hit the city.

Source please!!

If this project was started by LDA then why we saw all those advertisements with logo of Government of the Punjab? They are not paying a single paisa for this project to LDA, are they?

Azadi chowk should be inaugurated after Pakistan gets Azadi from NOON LEAGUERS.....
Typical reply from POTIAN KIDS.
Grow up please.

Ammi Ammi bhook lagi
Khaa loo beta metro ki pulli :D
Ammi ammi bhook lagi.
Baita khanna 4 halkay khulnay kay baad millay ga,

Bhook lagay tou long march kha kar pait bharo.

Any way all those POTIANS who have problem with Metro buses and fly over, kindly don't use them and take some other route.

Janab... @Pakistanisage is not a kid. He is a respectable gentleman. I hope you would bear this in mind next time you have an urge to call him a kid.

I share you views, but let us not get carried away with emotions. Many people dislike PML-N, but that should not mean that you disrespect them on a personal level.

ON TOPIC: Can we get some pictures from various perspectives? I have not yet seen it, and I do believe that it must be remarkable. Hats off for pulling off a challenging project. Perhaps the most difficult part was to deal with local residents who were PML-N supporters and had encroached public land. Shahbaz Sharif had given DC free hand to deal with them.

Sir, the construction on Chungi Amarsadhu interchange seems to have hit some snags and has suffered a schedule set-back. It was all meant to be completed in June. It is perhaps 70% done as of yet, as far as I can judge.

Source please!!

LDA is responsible for all the development work within Lahore. But they certainly can not fund these projects by themselves and Punjab Government has to arrange finances.

PTI also has been aggresive in removing encroachments. Now MQM/PPP need to do the same other wise Karachi railway project will not be financed.

The only thing I don't understand whenever I see these pics is where is the give-way line? It's a major junction and I fail to see how the traffic will be diverted into different lanes. I know there is no culture of following lanes in Pakistan and if we were to take a practical driving test, 90% people would fail in Pakistan due to poor road observation, road sense and traffic rules. They are only good in driving a car...

But at least have the proper give way lines so those who wish to follow the basic principles can do so easily.

PS: This is called a give way line
