JF17 must be considering some top of the line option for HMD. As the fighter program evolves, I am sure there must be options present for them to improve the fighter based on better avionics, and away from chinese prototypes. For OBS targeting capability, an HMD is a must. JF17 program should also consider AESA, IRST, and targeting pod.

This price is for 2000 production units. The Gen 2 helmet costs 750,000 USD or more when in quantities around 300 units. . Plus, put costs of NRE, qualification, integration, this capability is minimum 1.2 million per aircraft.

It took me sometime to realise that it's the helmet and display integrated system of Apache. I found it super cute. @PARIKRAMA
