whats is the current status of development after crashing one few months back.

TAI says that: “The accident is not expected to affect the ATAK program’s development timetable.”

So everything looks to be going on without delays. I am guessing a new testing bed is in the works.

Most likely Pakistan will try buying T-129 from Turkey after 2015/2017.

Though ideally I'd like to see Pakistan invest in the South African New Attack Helicopter (NAH) program, and acquire it with rights to locally manufacture, upgrade, etc.

We had list of helicopters we looked at and finally settled on a upgraded Turkish variant of the A129CBT. Some of the others we looked at were the South African AH-2A Rooivalk,Franco-German EADS Eurocopter (Tiger), and also the Kamov/Israel Aircraft Industries Ka-50-2.

I think the choice came down to which one provided the most tech transfer and flexibility.
