It is not just for you guys even us other NEasterners have to get a ILP to go to AP and can`t settle there?? don`t know but is n`t similar to canadian Indian reserves??

I am doubtful on this capacity being harnessed, the time to do it was a decade or two ago.Brahmaputra is drying up now.

Dat not possible because Brahmaputra is glacier feed river . and unless the whole of river is diverted somwhere else there will be always water available for generating electricity . and one more point mega dams are being built on brahmaputra river ,other smaller dam like ranganadi dam (400 mw) built in lowersubansiri is and many more alike will comeup in river which has its origin inside arunachal itself so no fear of water being diverted by chinese .

.
I am doubtful, the most powerful river in AP is Siang.. it is a shadow of its past.We can't say unless new studies are carried out to recheck the potential now.As far as I know mega dam over Siang has been postponed indefinitely due to local resistance.

Indian govt. should give up the idea of building mega dam insted they should built small dams like capacity of 500-600 mw and build number of it in same river that way the enviroments would be effected much like of MD and it can be tourist hotspot , water from upper dam will be utilize in lower dam likewise go on and people will also be not effected much insted dams can be use to rare fish and sell it to earn income by local peoples ..

Not only that , brahmaputra gets majority of volume of water from rain fed tributaries located in NE.... as long as we get proper rainfall not much is needed to be worried . We hardly utilize this giant river , most of the mega dams as you said are planned on its tributaries...

. . . . .
That is the worry, the tributaries feeding the main two tributaries of Brahmaputra are shrinking.

i dn't which tributaries are shrinkng ??? but our Ranganadi is doing fine and also river of itanagar -naharlagun doing well ..

.
Join there and help us with that thread. There are a lot of tribes in NE India so its difficult for non-NE's to catalogue all the tribes :D

what form is that ??

As I mentioned earlier the Siang is shrinking as well as many other tributaries.

don't wory it frezzing up there in himalaya when the ice will melt in sumer the water level will rise again to normal .
