Events are unfolding at a fast pace. At this rate within two-three years uncle sam and india will have painful nostalgia about their lost allies. Hollywood and Mumbai will produce romantic movies about it just to say 'I miss you so much!'.

Militarily whatever Russia has to offer Pakistan can get it from China. So military assistance should not be the main objective for Pakistan. Russia's diplomatic backing in the global arena should be the prize for Pakistan. This will blunt india's advantage in the area.
