Army Chief Orders Probe Into Internet Execution Video

I watched this video more than twenty times especially from 4:37 to 5:40.

I did not see a drop of Blood anywhere.

Totally Bogus video staged and directed by Telibunnies for Propaganda.

Had this being real shooting , those Shalwar Kameez would have been soaked with blood.

Dozens of rounds fired at them and no Blood in a minute of Video.:azn::undecided::no:

What intelligence? :woot:The Taliban must be real good at this film making, since they seem to get all those bullet shots & bodies jerking at the impact right. Oscar winning..... Btw, blood pours out immediately on shooting only in movies, not in real life (for the most part). Blood soaks out slowly in most cases & there is nothing to suggest that this wasn't real.

I'm no sympathiser of these chaps btw. Your soldiers (if these were militants/terrorists) did alright, the only problem is with allowing idiots to shoot the video. That's a big no-no. Since there are aren't a whole lot of videos still coming out, I guess the message has been understood.

True there. This doesn't only happen in Pakistan, or India, or Afghanistan. It happens in every corner of the world. Filming any activity by Army is strictly prohibited. However, this wasn't a hidden camera, this was recorded by a mobile phone camera and the cameraman was standing away from others, pointing the camera on face of shooters and the Major. This hints that the video was order of the Major, to be kept as evidence for some reasons, probably to show to the Commandant. Some idiot leaked a military-level video out...

"I have heard from a cousin in the Kabal area how he was present when a mass grave was found. We have also heard some people were shot on the streets by soldiers," Emaduddin Khan, a local shopkeeper, told IRIN.

PAKISTAN: Mass graves found in Swat

MINGORA, 25 August 2009 (IRIN) - Human rights groups and local residents say mass graves have been found in parts of northwestern Pakistan which have seen fierce fighting between government forces and Taliban militants since May 2009.

The autonomous Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has reported the discovery of mass graves in Babozai and Kabal sub-districts of Swat District, North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

"We have also documented credible accounts of numerous extra-judicial killings and reprisals carried out by security forces," Asma Jahangir, the HRCP chairperson, told IRIN.

Senior military spokesman Maj-Gen Athar Abbas denies the military were involved: "The militants buried their associates in mass graves" while retreating from areas of conflict. He also denied charges that militants were subjected to torture or summarily executed.

HRCP has demanded an independent inquiry into the alleged extra-judicial killings.

Sebastien Brack, a spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Pakistan, refused to be drawn into the argument, saying that the ICRC was focusing on meeting the needs of local people. "The infrastructure was destroyed by the fighting. It now needs to be re-built so people have access to health care and to livelihood, which is another key need."

Plausible?

In Mingora - the principal city of Swat which is beginning to return to normal as markets, offices and schools re-open and supply lines for goods gradually improve - accounts of atrocities during the conflict appear plausible to many.

"I have heard from a cousin in the Kabal area how he was present when a mass grave was found. We have also heard some people were shot on the streets by soldiers," Emaduddin Khan, a local shopkeeper, told IRIN.

Whether or not such testimonies - and others about militants being tied up and dragged behind vehicles or tortured in other ways - are accurate, they reflect the tension and nervousness lingering in Swat.

"These stories are told everywhere. They make me shudder," said Muhammad Amjad, 17. Like other boys and young men in Swat, he also faced pressure from the militants to join them.

Violations of humanitarian law?

Allegations of gross violations of humanitarian law have been widespread. In May, just a week after the fighting began, the New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) warned of violations of war law by the military.

"Beheadings and use of human shields by Taliban forces are not a blank cheque for the Pakistan Army," Brad Adams, Asia director of HRW, said in a statement at the time.

Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 stipulate humane treatment for all persons in enemy hands; that the wounded and sick be collected and cared for; and that the ICRC be granted the right to offer its services to the parties to the conflict.

"No one, no doctors, no relief workers, no journalists were allowed here for months. My son was hit by a bullet, and we could not even get him to a doctor to have it removed from his leg for three days because of the curfew and the fighting," said local resident Younis Khan, 50.

The fighting displaced 2.3 million people, of whom 1.6 million have now returned home, over half of them to Swat District, the latest Pakistani government figures show.

that suggests 2 things
there are taliban sympathisers within the army who filmed it secretly, or maybe it was filmed with full knowledge and consent which is stupid to say the least. its a very well done video my only suspicions are in the end part of the video where the guy is whispering to them something and also the casual moaning sounds which seem to have been dumbed on the video if they are not of the victims. I would give it 8 out of 10 for nice work. no I am not calling it fake but I wont write in blood to vouch for its authenticity

This wasn't a secretly made video, it was captured with complete knowledge of the Major, and hence suggesting that he himself ordered the video to be made. Secondly, if you could turn up the volume and focus, the Major was asking them if they knew the Kalma, whereas five of them declined and one person did know. He asked him to recite Kalma for everyone and moved away. You know what happened later.

Yeah, he is of EME. So can't exactly call him a fighting guy! But an NDC degree does wonders!

This major deserved to be hanged.

Why are we still digging up the old graves? is it because we can't find anything new to slap on our faces that we have dug up the old graves?

This major deserved to be hanged.

and why is that? what about those who beheaded Soliders? killed innocent people? we should offer them peace talks? (though i support peace talks)

@Argus Panoptes with reference to the article shared ago, shall i say , If Military establishment is not going to listen to HRCP, than why not submit a petition against them in SC or HC. We all know how serious the Missing Persons case was taken by CJ

Actually I don't care about the HRCP as much as I want the COAS to be proper and worthy of his title. Gen Kayani ordered an inquiry. Gen Kayani should tell the nation what that inquiry found and what did he do about it. After all, the buck for the Army stops with him.

Certainly not - he should be congratulated, showered with accolades and serve as an example other officers should emulate - Dead talib and dead talib sympathizers, no exceptions

That major killed 6 unarmed young boys extra judicially.
