Antony urges Russia to induct Brahmos missile in its armed forces

Indians are really funny, ask an arm exporter to buy back what they intend to export. not only Russia will lose the profit margin but to carry the burden of having these useless Brahmos doesn't meet Russian military's need.:coffee:
LOL, export? We both make BrahMos together and India wants to export it to friendly countries. Don't talk as if you didn't know that when prices they go down the margins still stay proportional. Secondly you don't know that it doesnt't meet Russian needs, maybe the price is too high maybe that is why the are reluctant to buy BrahMos. Give me sources that it doesn't meet Russia's needs.

Bonus question for being a millionaire.

Differentiate export and joint venture.

Has Russian signed commitment to buy this Brahmos? if not then it's an export to them

Dude, isn't that so obvious, if you're Russian, you will do the same: keep the best for yourself and export something is not threatening your national security, if Russia didn't sign any commitment to buy these brahmos means they have something better and they don't need your Brahmos.

All I see is assumptions.

Both sides don't have to buy the missile for it to be a JV. There are hundreds of other JVs in the world, JF-17 is JV, China hasn't bought it. It still is a JV isn't it?

Besides, India owns 51% of shares in BrahMos Aerospace.

What use does Russia have of this obsolete missile?

Define obsolete. If the definition involves, "fastest manoeuvrable cruise missile, only cruise missile capable of performing a hypersonic dive, only cruise missile with a CEP of <10m even at supersonic speeds" the I completely agree that Russia has no use of obsolete stuff.

JF-17 is indeed a join venture, but Pakistan has never hurged China to buy it, if China needs we will buy its as we did K-8 trainers. But India is different, you're stuck to buy Brahmos at high cost.

People are forgetting that Yakhont cannot be launched from SSBN but brahmos will have this capability and this will be used by Russia. It will be the first of its type to be launched from SSBN. That will be indeed a deadly weapon.

If that is the case then why isn't Russia running to integrate this missile into its Armed Forces?

Why is the Indian Defense Minister peddling this missile to Russia?

Why aren't any other foreign buyers lining up to purchase the greatest cruise missile ever produced in the history of the world?

Why isn't China quaking its its boots at the very thought of this missile being deployed and China having no counter-measures against this formidable missile that has made the Super Power of Asia? :D

There are already lining up. Anyways after the development of submarine launcher version of version it will be more lethal. And Russia could induct it covertly.

What prevent Russia from upgrade Yakhont into sub launch version? since they earn experience with Brahmos, it will be even more easy for them.

Dude, if your brahmos is an hot sale item, A.K. Antony will has no such need as urge Russia to Induct it

You are again forgetting that Brahmos is developed by India and Russia.

And India is keeping this developped technology for itself?, Russia will certainly acquire the know_how too and they can easily apply it into Yakhont and make it even better.

:hitwall: wish people would stop trolling so one could read the useful stuff without sifting through shite. Oh well. Yin and yang.
