By keeping in mind population, economic and development factors if we really want to do this than all provinces must be dissolved and and smaller units must be created out of each province based on population and area of the province. And there must be 4-5 administrative units in each province and give new name to these units which are not based on ethnics. We have to revise our taxation, revenue collection and political systems as well.

If you know the ground realities than Bahawalpur don't want to be part of sariki province they want to reinstate there state. So, you can't force your will on others, plus there is huge population of non-sarikies in so called sariki belt - Don't you think they will object it or you are planing to kick them out of that province.

As far development and literacy level is concern you can't put all blame on others it's a cheap way to hide in efficiencies, there are MNAs, MPAs from those areas in govt. what they have done? Gillani is prime minister for more than 4 years now, tell me what that son of b*** has done for development of the region (few roads and fly overs are not development of common people), he remained Speaker in previous PPP govt., What SMQ has done? No don't say that PML is ruling Punjab govt. both are same and making people fool. And what about wadaras do they pay taxes, do they allow the mazaras to send their children for education?

So, what-ever i understood form all your posts today is that you are running campaign of a separate province for Makhdooms & Gillanis to keep them in power.

There should be administrative units, but not new assemblies.

abolish provinces make administrative units mega cities like Karachi & Lahore alone can be administrative units. Bring local governments , revise blue book and remove VIP system whoever want to serve the nation must be servant of the nation not owner. Remove provincial assemblies and reduce the size of national assembly. Elected people must do only legislation and supervisory role. Only qualified and experience person must be recruited as ministers - they must be given long term and short term goals and elected people must evaluate their performance against targets.

Revise Taxation - Include everyone into net based on Income. All Direct & Indirect Taxes must be collected by administrative units. Funds allocation must be based on the revenue of units this will force every unit to increase their revenue and will not be able to blame on others. Federal govt. must do only national level and strategic Projects

Thanks you very much for bringing this alarming information to our knowledge and notice as I were seriously not aware about this...Oh My God, so Sarikie people in their prospectous province ( Sairikistan or so Inshallah) will left with literacy rate only 18% as compared to 70% of their punjabis in uppper PUnjab (according to 2009 census punjab literacy rate is 59% accumulated, I've just checked to verify your statement)...so at this time rougly upper Punjabs litteracy rate is 70% . How this has been possible while living in the same province for centries one has 70% and while there partner living in the same province has 18% while Wasaib calculation says its Sarikies area has only 12% literacry rate Only 12 per cent literacy rate in South Punjab – by Rana Latif « Saraiki Waseb Development Organization (SWADO)....O' my Gosh!, here comes, so a proof how Sarikies poor have been deprived, TCH TCH for my Pakistan)
How is that possible two people (Sarikies and non-Sarikies) have been living in the same punjab and just like metphor, they jumped into the same river (resources allocated by Lahore) and one is almost completely wet (70%) while the other is just little partially wet (18%)...WHAT a superb a justice has been there from 65 years and they(Punjab rulers) have not noticed and taken special measures to at least reduce the difference?

All I'm emphasizing earlier like, you saying bro that new province name should be Sarikistan according to the rules when other five provinces are given names on the base of ethnicity or even renamed on the ethnic basis. then why this discrimination for these Sarikies poor.....so if it must not ethnic then for the sake of justice, uniformity in the country undo the others province names as well to follow the same suit and rules and rights for all...
This is why I was saying that division will help more, as then instead of seeing the economics at MACRO level, we can see the things (development) at MICRO level...just prooved by MUSLAMAN brother post, how now Sarikies can see their data and in competition they will struggle more...Like when a son in jointed family system would not be struggling but would be literally a paracite who will be feeded by parents after marriage, but if he is allowed (means given power and rule to him) to make his living by own then he will be more productive instead of a parasite ...

Further sometimes I think if we were having two or three Bengals provinces on the basis of some parameters then it would have been hard for them to go for another country (BUt remember what Allah do is the best, may Alllah keep them happy)...If we divide Punjab or others then it will be difficult for smaller units to go for UNITE movement for independence, as communication would become difficult rather and they will then serve as a rival in competition to grow on the development lines....just look if now Sarikies knows that how they have been put down to 18% literarcy rate (Whatever the reason of unequal resources distribution or no ATTention has been put up by the upper-punjab so called ruler for this massive difference from 65 years...So sad to know really this parameter as well....Stay happy Punjab, stay happy Sarikistan, stay happy all my provinces and my lovely Pakistan

Well the reason for this literacy disparity is that agriculture land in central punjab are small. So ppl since last 150 years had no choice but to go to school. It may be noted that educational institute in Southern punjab were established nearly in the same era as that of central but for central part they had no choice but the education but in south due to large agricultural land people are either vaderas or the ghulams

Yes they should be for administrative purpose however linguistic and ethnic factor is also acceptable. What is not acceptable is the politics factor, which PPP is doing, and for which this province is being created.
