America and China: Another Big Powers Understanding in the Making?

Obama did not start any wars. He pulled out of Iraq and set the deadline to get out of Afghanistan. Why call him a war monger?
March 2011, the Libyan war.
September 2014, the Syrian war.
However, the Chinese generally admit that Obama's ability is far stronger than trump and Biden.

These conflicts are not comparable to the other wars. They were more like support and training to insurgents.

But for what it is worth, I do agree that US should stop trying to bring democracy to middle East. They may not be cut out for it.

Now The USA is the country with the largest oil production. There are more and more oil bonds and funds on Wall Street. Oil exports account for an increasing proportion of the U.S. economy.
Now do you still think the USA will give up importing "democracy" into the Middle East?

Yes, because it seems to not be just about oil anymore. A lot of voters in US have gone woke. In future, I suspect that US policy would be driven by intrinsic support for lofty liberal causes. Canada has already moved quite far in that direction

He and Hillary certainly were the main backers of the Libyan war. He escalated in Iraq. He escalated in Afghanistan. Deadline, my foot. He gave more free reign to Israel than any President before him. An apologetic drones and even attacks on Pakistani soldiers happened under him. G. W. Bush was an angel and a gentleman compared with Obama! He definitely was deep into Syria too.
Let's not derail this thread please!

Only when someone like Bernie Sanders becomes President of the USA, we can talk about the awakening of the USA.
Now the USA is a lion sleeping deeper and deeper.

Bernie Sanders is full of shit. He talks a good game but in the end, he works for the corrupt Democratic establishment.

If you know Sanders' achievements in Burlington, you will understand that he is not lying.
Yes, he works for the DNC. Does he have any other choice? How can he run for president without relying on the DNC? Rely on the Vermont progressive party?

The US started as an empire by conquering the natives of the continental US, Hawaii and Alaska. It then conquered many other territories like Puerto Rico, Cubs and the Philippines. It is constantly destabilizing and overthrowing governments in order to control other countries for its corporate and strategic interests. The US has always been at war. What more proof do you need?

without US in WW 2 you will be polishing the boots of Japanese army officers

Libya and Syria are great examples of good governance

Related to this thread: What do you guys say about the new 'AUKUS' alliance? Can't be just to give a nuclear submarine technology to Australia? Does it have more to do with Western European countries unwilling to go along with future wars as they did before? Or this is chest-thumping after the Afghan withdrawal debacle? Why this is new alliance needed when there is the esteemed 'Quad' already to check China?

Add a new acronym, “AUKUS,” to the history of military alliances — this one standing for the new partnership of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States against the unnamed but very real potential threat from China.

President Biden unveiled the new pact Wednesday afternoon in a virtual joint statement with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The AUKUS plan has been taking shape in secret since Biden took office, but rollout now fits Biden’s aim of showing that the United States remains a strong military ally, despite the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden, flanked by video-screen images of the two prime ministers, said the goal of the initiative was to enhance “strategic stability” in the Indo-Pacific region and shape “how it may evolve.” He didn’t mention China, the obvious but unmentioned focus of the effort to share sensitive military technology with two key allies.

Errr. No. China fought Japan for 4 years pretty much on its own. Killing up to a million Japanese soldiers.
Even Malaysian Chinese form the MPAJA and fought the Japanese in Malaysia.

Actually, it's the other way round. it's the Japanese that now write using Chinese characters. :D

There is 5 eyes, ANZUS and NATO. nothing is new here politically or militarily.

There is a ban on sale of nuclear submarines in the NPT or NSG or one of the international treaties. To circumvent it Russia leased a nuclear sub to India. by transferring nuclear sub tech to Australia USA is sending a significant message to Beijing

French like to think Americans is out to screw them out of their lucrative submarine deal
