Never noticed that in my area, but i can't speak for others. I don't doubt many Afghanis are involved in crimnal activities in some parts of Pakistan.

Infact they keep to themselves and wont involve in local affairs and politics , thats what i have observed in my area. So its mind-blowing to hear that Afghans are imposing their culture and ways of life on karachiites..........at least this member ,@Basel should come up with believable lies. About their involvement in crimes, expect it from any community. They are aloof, thats what make them not good and untrustworthy neighbors......the trust issues arise from the thinking that they are not permanent residents, not registered in many cases, so they can rob you or kill you and then disappear into Afghanistan, just like those of "ilaqa-e-ghair".

Yeah i agree, if someone knows he can just go back and disappear from radar then it becomes so much easy. Especially when Pak can't even control and prevent local people from doing crimes. But in our area Afghanis are not knows for any crime associated with them, like car robberies, kidnappings, murders etc

Most Afghans are into junk trade, dhabas, and truck driving.

If the afghans had outed and turned on the afg terrorists hiding amongst them---I would not have any problem with those afghans becoming pak citizens.

Threads like this make me marvel at the sheer hypocrisy & bigotry of my fellow coutry men.
Deportation of a community is a better option than building strong institutions ??
I have seen afghans working day & night.
I have seen a guy come to our locality with only a couple of donkeys & within eight years becoming perhaps the biggest business man in our area & I have never seen an afghan begging on the road.
My district has 1 of the highest rate of murders in the country but I m yet to hear about an afghan refugee killing some 1.
With this level of comprehension from our esteemed educated members here I see a bright future ahead.
It's true that a refugee community brings along inherent problems but should we not focus on the development of our institutions.
Why are we wasting our energy on racism when we ought to be asking the real questions & finding answers to those ?
Pakistan has 1 of the largest diaspora of immigrants all around the world would the enlightened members be equally supportive of such measures by another country ?

That is not the problem---the problem is they they do not participate in the wellbeing of the country that they are living in. They look the other way when terrorists and criminals are hiding amongst them---and do not notify the authorities.

Their is a huge amount in AK , we had some working in our lands, we had a driver from Bhimber who eloped with the daughter of one of the families as a result the family went almost nuclear with my uncle for employing such a katia aadmi other than that they have generally been very hard working but on occasion they can be hoshyar chalak when it comes to business (cannot really blame them).

Mirpuri Bhai, more than half of your community is in the UK. What would you think if you heard a white Englishman saying the Pakistanis who migrated before 1970 should be given British nationality and the rest should be deported?

Deport them regardless of whether they migrated or were born in Pakistan.

They live in Pakistan but are not loyal specially when someone they know is terrorist lives among them and they do nothing to notify authorities.

Thats like apples and oranges Pakistan does not border UK nor do 50000 Pakistani cross the british border daily

Dear if you live in Karachi you will know how those Afghan have become a mafia and mother of all crimes, just try to go in Al-Asif Square and surrounding areas and you will know how they are effecting communities even garbing land and build apartments. Your post show you dont even know that they are becoming a big mess even in interior Sindh.
