Only as a political teaser! Do you really think the US will ban the sale of F-35s to a NATO partner due to S400 SAMs while at the same time the IAF still uses Russian command structure, AEW, fighter assets and so on and will deliver the F-35 to India?

So a full scale AMCA model has been built for RCS testing.
The gentleman in the pic is ADA Director General, Dr Girish Deodhare, one of the Tejas FCS pioneers, involved with the development of the Tejas FBW FCS since it's earliest days.
Manned- Unmanned Teaming (MUMT) demonstrated using LCA Navy Mk1 twin seater and 2 UAVs

You're the one who is naive. Early 2010s itself India had budgeted USD 60 Billion for 5th Gen aircraft (Russia got the first priority). If you think US has not been jealously eyeing that pot of money then you're the one who is naive, not India.

No, the full scale model is for the entire aircraft. DRDO set up a facility called Open Range RCS Measurement Facility (ORANGE) in 2015, just to measure the RCS of fighter aircraft, missiles, etc..

NewSpace was founded by former IAF pilot Sqdn Ldr Joe Sameer (Retd). It has already delivered the first sets of swarm drones to the IA and the next deliveries are going to be made to the IAF soon..
DRDO's Tapas MALE UAV took off from Chitradurga in Karnataka, flew at 15,000 feet and filmed the Aero India flying events. The image quality and stability is quite amazing.
