On topic - I would prefer not to judge them on the basis of this forum . This forum attracts a special variety of Bangladeshi members , people who are all anti-secularism , love Khaleda Zia and hate Hasina , people who are not proud of 71 even . Certainly not representative of the general Bangladeshi crowd .

But what amazes me is that 99% of them have same mentality They live or want to live in a world full of delusion. For them everything in their country is run by RAW ... from their government to their political parties to media. Everything which is bad in their country is because of some Indian hand working behind the scenes. Sometimes their views are frustrating but equally funny

Indian military interference merely acted as a catalyst for the war on the Eastern front. The creation of Bangladesh was inevitable based on the West Pakistani military strength, logistical limitations and most importantly - SUPPORT.

There is a reason why Indian soldiers are never seen one of those Liberation War paintings in Bangladesh. India did have to engage the Pakistanis on the Western front, is it not?

Anyway, there is a difference between being grateful, and not wanting to be dominated by another third world country surrounded on all three corners with its own issues and regional ambitions.

And besides, the former housewife foreign minister did convey her nation's....no wait...her party's gratefulness to India:
Bangladesh ever grateful to India: FM

Anything more than that, Bangladesh would become the 29th state of India

Now I'm sure most folks would oppose that on both sides of the border.

Almost all Bangladeshis {10-15 (one is my good friend)} I have met in Australia are very intelligent, down to earth, secular and hard working people. Their opinion about India is very good, 3 were graduates from Indian universities.

PDF is shock for me when I read their comments. I think digitally I can go along very well with Pakistani posters than Bangladeshis.
