What's new

A new dawn for Japan and Philippines: Japan requests access to military bases in the Philippines

The Philippines is not interventionist because they're weaklings, not because they have no desire to kill and steal.

And yes, they do claim Taiping Island as part of "Freedomland," rofl

Ah, you're right, so the Philippines claims some parts of Taiping Island, i stand corrected.

They make a lot of noise every time the ROC builds on Chinese territory. Never bothered complaining before 1956..

They are non-interventionist and have not been involved in wars with its neighbors. Is that not a good quality ?

They are, naturally, peaceful towards their relevant neighbors.

:)

By that standard, so is North Korea.

But North Korea fought with South Korea, US, and UN forces. Not the same.

North Korea tried to reunify it's own country, they weren't really attacking another per se. Kind of like how the Philippines is pushing native inhabitants in the South off their own land, turning them into a minority.

Moro people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Today, the Moro people are still disadvantaged by opportunities and pushed out of their ancestral lands compared to the majority Christians in terms of employment and housing; they are frequently misportrayed and discriminated against in the media as scapegoats or warmongers.[29] This has established escalating tensions that have contributed to the ongoing conflict between the Philippine government and the Moro people. In addition, there has been a large exodus of Moro peoples (Tausug, Samal, Bajau, Illanun, Maguindanao) to Malaysia (Sabah) and Indonesia (North Kalimantan) over the last 30 to 50 years, due to the illegal annexation of their land by the Christians, and armed militias such as the Ilaga has divided the trust between Settler and Moro communities. Land Tenure Laws has changed the population statistics of the Bangsamoro to a significant degree, and has caused the gradual displacement of this indigenous from their traditional lands."

Quite pretty! Hope Americans don't rape and kill too many people there.

Why are you comparing the Philippines to countries that are out of the geographical sphere? lol.

Would it not be better to compare the Philippines' gdp per capita with its neighbors ? Would that not give you a better comparative analysis on Philippines' standard of living with say that of Indonesia, or Burma, or Vietnam et al ?

So, let's compare , shall we?

So you see @TheTruth --- the Philippines has a gdp per capita that is fairly 'decent' for the region (ASEAN).
Interesting ASEAN has 622 million people

Since you love the Mainland so much, how are the Tibetans and Uyghurs? Are they oppressed well enough? :chilli:
