What's new

A fighter is shotdown near the border

Syrians have nothing to do with it. They're being bombed by these jets

Indeed. Who has this type of firepower to do such damage?

I believe as a retaliation your president will play the terror card. Just like you guys did before over the Hatay incident and also Ocalan years ago. Thank to god we had some leader with guts at that time. It ended when Turkish gov't threatened Syria with war.
btw news report are saying the Syrian jet was inside the Syrian territory and never crossed into Turkey.. lets wait and see.. this is most likely a campaign ad for AKP terrorists and to distract the public from the Turkish issues or corruption and etc...

plus terrorism is on your doors thanks to AKP supporting chaos and terrorism, would you rather have ISIL on the border post so terrorists can move easily into Turkey, which is what happening now thanks to AKP

Be happy we shot that plane down. Today we saved many Mohammeds and Alis from death, that would have been caused by that mig.

Today our TAF received many prayers from innocent Syrians.

We don't have much to choose from;
1. YPG/PKK controlled,
2. Regime controlled (a regime that at times are supportive of PKK)
3. ISIL/FSA/rebel/terrorist/[insert random label or acronym here]

Mig-23s are dead..F-16s are not...Downing a Mig-23 shouldnt be something to brag about...Thats my point

mig23 are used as a interceptor and bomber. And in this case it didnt matter of its a modern fighter
I'm having a hard time buying the Turkey story, it seems odd to have a Syrian aircraft violate her air space while at the same the Mig-23 is down under Syrian territory.

Let's see if SAA makes a move to relocate a few SA-6 batteries near the border in retaliation.

Ooo no problem cruise missiles, artillery and other rocket systems are ready russian fanboys...

happy that you helped ALqaeda? that plane was targeting ISIL, and you shot it down, you are going to regret this, sadly many civilians will die due to AKP terrorism actions...

all PKK and Syria relations ended in the 90's... remember how safe was the border when the Syrian army was in control, however, it seems akp wants terrorists on its borders...

What news? Syrian? Turkish? Or international which at half of them our story is written, and yours at the other half?

So Erdoğan just called Assad and his army and said, "hey bitchez I need a favor. Gimme a plane of yours for today" ?

Last time when 3 ISIL guys tried to infiltrate into Turkey ended badly for them. Probably they are being interrogated by MI and MIT at Ankara HQ, by now. But we also lost compatriots by them. RIP. Besides that, Maybe it's the Turkish Nation that will be targeted in consequence of AKP's Syria policy. But Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri is and will be standing in front of it no matter who's the rulling party or who's trying to get fun of Assad.

Nope this plain did enter Turkey and got shot down. This isn't our normal rules of engagement.
But after the rf-4 incident this will happen to every Syrian aircraft that will enter Turkey.

You can thank your ***-ad for that. Talking about regret.

akp took that chance when it saw the Syrian jets... why would a Syrian jet enter the Turkish space?

akp terrorists allowed ALqaeda to enter to Kesab from the Turkey... don't tell me for a source, you can search it for yourself..

therefore, akp helped Alqaeda...

Why didn't the other mig 23 get shot down?
i'm not sure how close the two jets were , maybe they were far apart....

According to the Turkish Armed Forces after both jets were warned one of them turned back whereas the other did not and was shot down.
yeah and according to Syrian sources, the two jets never entered the Turkish space... we shall wait and see the radar reports...

Turkish jets confront SAF jets on a regular basis. Why did they shoot one down today and not on the other occasions?
