Thanks for the detailed post. If every intoxicant is haram as per Islam how come I find so many of my Muslims still consuming alcohol ? Are they not afraid of the consequences?

What do you mean odd Hindu ? Hindus have historically ate & cooked beef . There is no guideline that says Hindus shouldn't eat curtain food .

Tell that to the Indian states which have banned beef and the victims of Dadri lynching. Personally I could not care less what Indians eat or not eat.

Hinduism doesn't ban beef or for that matter anything. Every Hindu needs to decide what they want to believe in and what they want to practice.

Ban on consumption of Beef, Alcohol and the practice of untouchability were the desires of the Father of the Nation (Mahatma Gandhi). Hence were included in the constitution of India. Nothing to do with Hinduism.
