I think the Shooters squadron is still flying F7Ps as LIFT at Mianwali. Its not a numbered squadron so you are right all F7s apart from training are retired (not counting any FTs in OCU of PGs).

Those are the dual Seat F7TP I believe.

PAF needs to replace these vintage laughable F7s and Mirages ASAP. We need to double down on JF17B3s and J10CE's.

Our planners are pathetic. IAF almost has 36 Rafales and we are still waiting for the first batch of J10C. If we plan properly we should have been looking forward to J31s by now. Instead we are in a state were most people dont even believe we are getting J10s.

The 36 number specifically makes me cringe. Makes PAF looks like a reactionary force... reacting to IAF 36 rafale purchase rather than taking the lead to its own destiny. Why only India specific??? we have terrorist in afghanistan/iran always breathing down our neck that we havnt even used worthless mirages for...

It sounds like the PAF is trying to get more of its units and personnel familiar with Chinese support systems (e.g., AEW&C, EA/ECM).

Exactly! I believe that's core to interoperability of a joint strike force.

The buildup of forces in the theater is not news, though mostly related to army long-range artilleries, but we can still see air force is part of the buildup (perhaps except the rumoured H-20). For the theater I think PLAAF may use assets like WZ-7, WZ-8, H-6K, tankers, Y-20A, GJ-11, J-16D ... and all sorts of AEW&C/EW platforms plus new ammunition. PLAAF-PAF joint strike force should boost interoperability for a range of coming missions which are not limited to A2/AD (the usual on Pak front) but alot more.

The F-7 and Mirages should have been r replaced a decade ago....
