They have been recruited earlier and we did have them in guud numbers, this we made it sure that the numbers increases. The reason, well certain misconceptions and propaganda made it impossible for young Balochis to opt for this profession lately.

has to do a bit with the qualifications also!

Absolutely correct sir.

Unfortunately even in this century we had to reduce the standards so that our Balch brethren can join in. i wish those responsible for this may burn in hell! But fortunately i am sure that in a next few years there wouldnt be a need to lower the standards anymore, especially on the education side. With Officers and Jawan being inducted in large numbers, a wave of change has already swept the misconceptions and at the same time it also has made it clear that only the best can join the armed forces, and with increased educational opportunities the Balochs can now make sure that they are taken in on merit.

its has as much to do with the Baloch leadership as well.. remember how Mir Zafarullah jamali had been held back from becoming President in the past by the fellow Baloch leaders to keep up the propaganda about Baloch being oppressed by the centre and bla bla.
some thug leaders have been particularly opposed to any chance of schools or any basic infrastructure to use the lack of it as a propaganda.

Haider Ali Maghsi was my class fellow and an Army son like myself.
he joined Pakistan army back in 1990. I lost contact with him and found out back in 2000 that he died in Siachin.
like him and his father there are many fine Baloch offciers that have risen through the ranks like any other Pakistani from other provinces.

Baloch Regiment also kept the Hindu and Sikh fanatics from attacking the migrating Muslims during the partition.

.
there should be no room for exploitation of people's emotions....

that's why the grievances (many of them very very legitimate and genuine ones) in the Province should be addressed

i'm happy to see more and more Baluch brethren rubbishing the hatred of the insurgent groups....they cause more harm and damage than good to the province.

From January 9 through February 13, nearly 25 gas pipelines have been blown up, largely in the eastern districts that are criss-crossed by a network transporting gas found in Baluchistan to other parts of the province and the country. About 7 other gas facilities, mostly wells, 9 electricity pylons and a power plant have also been attacked --by the B.R.A.

We as Pakistanis should make sure and/or demand that Baluchistan benefits from its rich resources bc that is the only way to defeat BLA BRA and other foreign-supported terrorist movements hiding behind the garb of "nationalism"

Right on the spot. Unlike previous strategies, divide and conquer--turning one sardar against another will not give us fruits. We need to empower PEOPLE so they can integrate in the society and feudalism-saradism dies slowly.

.
and be rest assured that we should take the gloves off and thrash, sever and burn any hand, finger or toe that supports such groups --inside or outside of the country

But Balochistan alone cannot benefit from these resources, they are a part of Pakistan as a whole, and there are other areas of Pakistan that have a greater population and are in greater need of the benefits of these resources.

Baluchistan should have been the richest and most prosperous Province in Pakistan; given the wealth of resources there, and the small population

however, for political bullshyt reasons, such is not the case. I blame every single govt. that has existed for this, I also blame the feudals.

of course theyre a part of Pakistan. They are as much Pakistani as you or I. On one hand, labour (skilled, unskilled) coming from other areas annoys some of the locals; on other hand, that is because they possess the requisite skills

makes sense to invest in the local people.......Army can do it, so why cant govt? Maybe there's something I'm missing here, but what happened to Aghaz-e-Haqooq?

I'm critical of both sides; the feudals, and the blatant incompetence of the local and fed governments. But it's not too late to do something about it. Better late than never. I'm optimistic. We survived 1970s when our dear leaders thought strong-arm tactics was the only solution to the conflict. Now, I think slowly slowly we are more mature and rational.

create jobs, give the people education; invest in their infrastructure and there will be huge returns.....govt. should also play a role to promote unity amongst the tribes and factions. Through unity and prosperity, there is strength.

when a foreign country wants to import textiles from South Carolina, USA --the deal is facilitated through people in South Carolina. The fed govt. and local govt. will be there for oversight to ensure the legalities. But the state itself realizes the deal though whole country benefits in absolute terms.

so when foreign companies want to invest in Baluch minerals and oil exploration, local govt. should be the one to call the shots while auditors and tech experts local and from the center give oversight.

Gwadar alone has so much potential and the days are going by and nothing is being done. It annoys the standard informed Pakistani to see potential being wasted due to political f*cking around.

.
5,000+ Baluch inducted in Army. I want to see large numbers of Baluch Pakistanis making nation proud in sports (e.g. football) in academia and elsewhere like they already are/have/will do

.
Just last year Pak army inducted some 4000 Balochis and now 5000 more WOA this means 5000 + 4000= 9000 soldiers and also it means 9000 verified Pakistani patriotic families in Baluchistan :D Who says Baluchistan is separating from us?
