Sirji, it's simple formula of supply and demand, supply in this case is lesser facilities among many other reasons. Many female students out perform male students in Pakistan and therefore get seat priority based on merit. Whereas many rich pay for private universities and institutes. Where will a male student from middle class or poor class, who also work to run his house, go to complete his education and dreams? Unfortunately in Pakistan anyone who is bachelor or below is mostly rejected from my high class job positions.

They are not technically recognised as Indians in international law as Kashmir is seen as disputed territory.

They have opted to use Indian citizenship for now and this is just for practical purposes. Kashmiris have not gained Indian passports through choice but through necessity.

As a foreigners, We only have to look at passport. If they carry Indian passport then they are legally Indian citizen irrespective of the status of their territory. What if any ethnic Kashmiri individual not the resident of Kashmir but from other part of India? Or personally satisfied to be a Indian citizen? Should not we consider such Indian passport holder a Indian citizen just because he is a Kashmiri? Not doing so does not make any sense. That's why I say, look at their passport rather than what ethnicity or territory they belongs.

I agree with you on this case. But unfortunately our govt doesn't recognize it. They consider kashmir as part of india, or at least remain silent by saying it as India's internal matter. But I wish one day we will officially support our kashmiri brothers and sisters, as Pakistan is doing.
