If things get better between India and Pakistan you should visit Azad Kashmir and witness the true happiness on the face of Kashmiris.
I am a Kashmiri myself but I feel more connected to Pakistan thn India and Its not only because of religion there are several factors .. Major one is the treatment of Kashmiris in the hands of Indian army.It is just even after you and I die, struggle for freedom in Kashmir will live on.

How many Kashmiris from the Pakistan side ever made it to any important position in the Pakistan central government??? NONE!!!

On the Indian side, Kashmiri muslims have held several cabinet level positions including that of Home Ministry (essentially responsible for the security of the ENTIRE country)!!!!

The love shown to Kashmiris on the Pakistani side is so obvious that they drowned an entire Kashmiri city (Mirpur) to store water for Punjab!!! If it wasn't for the kindness of the British contractors (who relocated them to UK and took care of them), the Mirpuris would be begging in the streets on Lahore (as all their lands are submerged)!!!

Also, the quality of life in Indian Kashmir is SUPERB. They were the richest people in the country UNTIL Pakistan started sending out-of-work jihadis (from Afghanistan) into Kashmir since 1989. Only since 1989 Kashmir has suffrered economic and security related hardships.

You can believe in any BS you want. The facts are otherwise!! If you have the guts to learn the truth then check if there was a single incident of violence in Kashmir before 1989???? Pakistan sent the blood thirsty jihadis into the valley, radicalized the youth in the name of islam and ruined the lives of millions (just like it did in Afghanistan).

The Indian side Kashmiris hated Pakistan, and fought against the Pakistani army and the jihadi kabalis in 1948 (who raped and looted kashmiris!!). Go check history (not the crap that Pakistan feeds you).

Ghanta all of kashmir. Despite of decades long radicalization by pakistan, voilence is still pretty much concentrated in areas along the LOC only (that too not in laddakh). When radicalized people show flags of pakistan and ISIS together, you know that their cause is flawed, their influencer is wrong and such ideology can never be allowed to succeed. And face the fact - Pakistan is at ease as long as Kashmir is with India. The day India cedes kashmir (which is impossible), pakistan would be dealing with another afganistan/taliban at their eastern border.

Any person is free to migrate to any place they choose to. If someone is unhappy with where they are and think Pakistan is heaven , they are free to go to Pakistan!!! But the reality is that absolutely NO ONE from India (Indian muslims) ever want to migrate to Pakistan!! On the contrary several Pakistanis (including muslims) prefer to live in India - it's a fact!!!

Lastly, this is something I tell all Pakistanis - learn real history (not the crap that's taught in Pakistan). Kashmir is not part of the partition. Kashmir was an independent country that chose to join the Indian union!!!

The violent death of any individual is always a loss to humanity, no matter which side of the conflict they may stand on. Like the Kashmiri youth we mourn for day after day, this boy was no different from them at all. He also had parents who shall grieve for him, he must also have had dreams and aspirations, he was determined and had a clear cause in mind which is why he joined the military.
We may disagree with where his loyalty lay but it is a fact that he was a man who took a decision, chose a side and demonstrated conviction and I respect that.
To those who say that he got what he deserved, I say, have a heart, show some compassion and humanity. You can't maintain two separate measures of morality. Grieve for him as you would grieve for those who lay their life serving the other side of the cause. For whenever a young man dies, no matter which side of the conflict he was serving, it points a glaring finger at us all. We failed them.

@Horus whether we clean and reopen this thread or let it be, is a decision I leave to you.

The level of disrespect, contempt and general lack of concern shown by both sides on this thread leaves me unable to make a clear and unbiased decision on this.
