    I parsed the report to see if there's anything new. One thing that caught my attention (and very pleasantly so) was in the financial section - that the area of work on which the highest amount of money was spent last year was for "FLIR and IRST".
    DRDO had said that it could offer but IAF hadn't expressed any interest in it. Hope Mk2 has IRST (indigenous)

    Im glad that is not just sources from some stupid journo. it is current info right from the Developer - which is good.

    IRST?? Really which page no. is that - good catch - me skipped the finances, Think IAF will wait it the tech matures + im guessing the IAF will still have the MK2 as a defence frame, thus need for a IRST no need, hopefully they will change their mind

    It's on page 80. Not completely sure if the money spent is for development or procurement (from outside vendor), they just say 'FLIR and IRST'; but in the next line they explicitly state 'HMDS procurement'!!
    I am thinking that most probably its a purchase from a vendor - as ADA won't have the skillset to develop IRST. If a project is underway it should be with IRDE or LRDE
