2014 is not 1962 - Indian Much Better Prepared for Chinese Challenge

My question is - in the future, if India were to backstab China again, even as J-20s shoot their LCAs out of the sky and as China inflicts a K:D ratio of 5 to 1 while taking thousands of Indian POWs with not a single Chinese soldier being taken prisoner, will the Indians still be so delusional to claim that they "heroically fought to the last man while being overwhelmed by human wave attacks." I suspect they will still accuse China of using "human wave" tactics in the 21st century.

Well I mean... could it be any more delusional than this?

Delusion - India to become superpower by 2012: Kalam - Economic Times

Fact - BBC News - 'More poor' in India than Africa

This definitely takes the cake, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw more Indians here who believe that India secretly won the 1962 war, there are at least 4 of those currently. And at least 1 Indian member (isro2222) here believes that all world leaders are secretly Alien Reptilians and Greys.

Then let's not forget the India 2030 movie, where Indians owned white slaves.

So frankly I am not surprised at all that Indians like @DRAY believe the Indian Army is lying when they say that "India can't ever hope to match China, and the gap is growing larger every day". In their minds, they are already a superpower anyway, and a developing country like China is no match for them.

Even Nehru was not delusional enough to believe that India was a superpower, yet he still ended up getting India smashed in a war that no one even wanted.

Well, they've already trumped up a border skirmish involving less than two dozen guys on each side into a historic battle where "400 PLA troops" died. And now they're quoting each other and wikipedia as the primary source even though 3 years ago, the wikipedia entry only listed 8 Chinese deaths. So that's pretty delusional. Also, they claim that China was the one who was on the verge of destruction in 1962 while conveniently ignoring the 40,000 sq km of land China took from them. For a comparison, that's about as much land as Crimea and New Jersey put together. That's also pretty delusional. :agree:

Just like in 1962, will will again be the one "defending" against a perceived Indian Forward Policy 2.0, we will not be the aggressor, so it will have essentially zero impact on other areas.

It wasn't China, but Nehru who declared 1962 war - The Times of India

Now the question for India is, IF India grows some guts and throws out Chinese soldiers during another "Chinese incursion", will China see that as another Forward Policy?

As the Indian Army itself already said multiple times, India cannot hope to win against China, and the gap is growing larger every day. Look at our border infrastructure, our defence budget, the number of weapons platforms we can bring to bear at any point along the LAC. Due to our superior infrastructure and greater number of weapons platforms, we will be able to bring a greater "force concentration" to any point along the LAC at lightning speed, massively overwhelming anything India can bring with their lack of border infrastructure. At every single point along the LAC.

The Indian Army believes they can't win against China, due to simple practical considerations like this, border infrastructure, weapons platforms, defence production rates and strategic reserves.

That's why India never throws out Chinese soldiers during those so-called "Chinese incursions", we just hear them crying constantly but unable to do anything.

1. In 1962 you attacked us and entered our country, that's called defending?

2. We always throw Chinese incursions out, last time we even destroyed the roads that you have built in our territory.

3. You cannot massively overwhelm us from every point in the border, the terrain won't allow that, and we have enough build up wherever needed.

4. As I said, we can only lose a long-drawn full-scale war because our resources are lesser than yours, but they are not small by any standard, you have to keep fighting a full war from all sides using all your resources for a considerable time before we run out of resources and you are broke, something that you cannot afford to fight either. We are capable of defending anything less than that.

5. Most importantly, we don't anymore think that China won't attack us, so we remain prepared, Nehru's era of romanticism is gone.

6. Trolling in pdf won't help you win anything on the battlefield.

You don't want to remember Chola incident, and Sikkim episode too, I understand. And we were as much in control of Aksai Chin as you were of Arunachal Pradesh, so if we have lost 40,000 sq km, you have lost 90,000 sq km. Not interested in rest of the blabbering.

The Indian Army itself already admitted that "India can't hope to match China by any conventional or non-conventional means, and the gap is growing larger every day".

Do a couple of internet fanboys know more than the Indian Army itself? I love how you guys are always calling your own Army a liar. :P

We could easily beat you at our weakest point (and even during our famine) in 1962. Now we are at our strongest point in the past few hundred years, that's why you guys cry about "Chinese incursions" but can't do anything about it. :azn:

The second you try, you know it will be seen as another Forward Policy.

You've no evidence for the Chola incident other than Indian propaganda. Because it never happened. No 3rd party confirmation, no pictures, absolutely nothing other than Indian delusions and wishful thinking. 1962 happened. China has the land, pictures of smiling Indian POWs, and 3rd party witnesses as proof.

Also, *both* Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh were originally in Indian hands. They were both yours to lose. Fact is: China gained 40,000sq km, India lost that much. How out of touch with reality can one be to spin holding onto 90K sq km of territory out an original 130,000 sq km of territory as a territorial gain?

India is steadily increasing its defense budgets and focusing particular attention on building up its naval capabilities. But
China is an enigma to our politicians and diplomats so much so that they become incomprehensibly cautious in their approach during every routine or exclusive interaction, whether in-house or at international forums. It is time that our politicians and diplomats got over the 1962 syndrome and evolved a national vision to fashion and project our national capability towards ensuring adequate security and economic growth at the level we deserve

Of course you can say we have entered your country as thieves speak about something they have stolen.
It's good only for Chinese to keep in mind that India is the only enemy of China.

Could not understand your logic which sounds like 阿Q's.
Aksai Chin is garbage just like Tibet, but somethings good beside them, that's why we hold them.

Aksai Chin is strategical important for China, not only it's a shortcut from Xinjiang to Tibet, in war time both can provide the mutual support but it also serve as earlier warning aircraft without the need to refuel, we can monitor all Indian flight activities and listening all the signal without the need to send spy 24 hrs. Our leader had great vision on area, they have foresee that India will be our enemy, they rather chose this strategic barren land first so we can properly deal with India military if needed.

And your leaders have said that chinese military equipment are outdated, and with a soon to bust economy china has to sell those equipment as scrap metal to survive.

CCP didn't want to reveal the facts to you.

That's why @Chinese-Dragon is panicking. :woot:

.
CCP didn't want to reveal the facts to you.

Neither does the Indian government apparently, judging by the complete lack of any evidence or third party corroboration. (Aside from delusional Indians screwing with wikipedia, of course:rofl:)

Keep bragging about imaginary victories. China will have to settle for that 40000 sq km of territory that India will never get back, in reality.

.
Lost what debate?

Even the Indian Army itself has already admitted: "India cannot match China by any conventional or non-conventional means, and the gap is growing larger every day".

Which makes sense because China's GDP is $10.4 trillion, even our $4 trillion currency reserves are more than double the Indian GDP. And our military spending is soaring. You have no chance of matching us.

Even the Indian Army itself admitted it. :P
Anyone will say china is stronger than india and can last long inwar. It will be rubbish to say that in case of war.India can be easily bitten down.No doubt India will loose but it will cause a lot of harm to china. Both nations know that and a war will be catastrophic for both countries. Same is the case with usa and china, usa can beat china but it won't be unharmed.

You can't understand my logic because your English is terrible and your random, unintelligible response to me confirms that fact.

No, they will create a fake legend that goes something like this :

A captain from indian army said he killed 5000 Chinese troops with his bare hands and was told by his superior not to talk about it....

If you push me I will post these pictures ...

What do you expect from the country that thinks it is already a superpower in 2012 (despite being more poor than Africa)? :P
