His body was retrieved later and he was not shot escaping but with chest wounds(no back wound). He died while defending his position along with his men.

Running away is a Chinese trait, not an Indian one. They just don't know it yet.

Yes.The frontiers are mostly inaccessible to civies. But you can see some the defenses from a far if you have a good DSLR or a set of binoculars. And yes,it was actually a good idea not to develop the roads there without setting up the defensive strong points first. Now when the defenses are pretty much in place, the government can concentrate on transportation infra.

Setting post is the main reason why PLA had to fight back in 1962. That's utra aggresive gesture by setting post along the disputed border.

But how it can be considered ultra aggressive when all of them are situated on the south of the McMahon Lines??

Mcmahon line is a illegal line drawn by UK colonizer, We never admit it. If you agree with Mcmahon line means you agree with the wrongdoing of UK colonizer did in India? or you just play double side

hypocrisy to the most i would say.

It is for sure that India backstabbed China in year 1962, and Nehru got seriously face palmed.

The most ridicuous thing i percieve in this forum is that some illogical Indian members want to get ganster on China, so whatever.

It's Chinese territory and south of the McMahon Line I mean partial just simply wonderful.
And of course some parts north of the McMahon Line where Nehru aimed for in his forward policy are also wonderful.

It's just a drama led by shamful Uk colonizer as to transfer(seduce and threat the local Tibetan officer without informing CHinese goverment) the soverign of south tibet to British India(it's not India, but british India, there is no ‘India' in the world before British came). Nehru hated colonizer but he loved the leftbehind of the colonizer. He got facial by PLA and the tragedy is doomed.

China is overwhelming India in military ability. If this happens again, i think the result will be the same as 1962.

The result of the weaker side to provocate along the border? i think a three years kids could get it.

That man was Brigadier General Hoshiar Singh,in charge of the defenses of the Sela. And let me tell you something,he never ran away. The exact word you are looking for is withdraw.Yes,they were in the process of withdrawing as per the directives of then Major General Pathania,GOC of 4 th Infantry division. Now why did he issue such an order is beyond my understanding because the defenders had enough supplies to last them a week and could be air supplied. But regardless, they were ordered to abandon their positions and he had to obey it.But that doesn't mean he ran away or something!!
Actually, the problems were many fold for the Indian side, the men in the higher commands were largely incompetent.Because many of them were chosen on the basis of their loyalty to Political heads instead of their merits or commanding abilities. So as soon as the PLA had stuck, the first thing that happened was near total collapse of command failure, many conflicting and confusing directives were issued to the sector commanders. It was total chaos everywhere. No matter what you or Chinese Dragon have to say,but the reality is,in 1962 the Indian Army was not in a position to even defend itself against the then very battle hardened and experienced PLA ,who had gained valuable experience in mountain and guerrilla warfare during the years of the Korean war.So the question of India attacking first never arises.

It's weird for a amateur force like IA to provocate along the border, i would say it's your leaders stuipidity led to the defeat. Even USA can't tame PLA in the Korean war, not to mention baby force IA.
