I don't know whether China send J17 free to PAF, China support Pakistan friend, the weapon we deliver to pak is more cheaper, more importance is we work with Pakistani friend to build your own defence industry, then you can generally design and manufacture your own weapon, even export them to earn money, of course, we also get much help from Pakistan, maybe some rumor is right, we get information on western weapon, even real weapon for research, and we share these.

J17 maybe not advanced encough, if Pakistan can grasp it completely, Pakistan friend will design your own "F22", may be long time.

J31 is a enterprise-funded fighter by Shengyang, far from operational and mature. Paf will have it no earlier than year 2020. I wonder whether JF17 AND F16 will hold position until that late.

The fact that the J-10B may not be more "advanced" than all 4th generation US fighter planes is irrelevant.

All that matters is if it is "comparable" to them.
