10 Terrorists incl imp Commander killed in Balochistan | ISPR |Feb 2022 .

I am curious whether your retorts actually make sense in your head or if you are just shooting from the hip.

I am not against IBOs, but I do not overestimate the role they should play in the solution. And yes, I obviously find them distasteful - a sentiment which the poster I quoted seems to share - despite being unopposed to them. I do think that the LeAs should be made to defend each and every kill in a court of law. Let them make a little effort to demonstrate that the law was followed and justice was done in each case. It will prevent retributive misconduct and overzealousness among troops. More transparency will benefit all involved.

And how do you propose to make LEA defend some kill against a hardcore terrorist like the ones in this thread in court of law??

Like how they do that?

1. Make conduct regulations for anti-terrorist operations in accordance with the law.

2. Enforce the regulations strictly.

3. Hire damn good lawyers.

Timbuktu possible, Pakistan impossible.

I am guessing that you have wished this out of frustration, else there even don't exist any checks and balances, a total alien thing, which hurts a lot of people running the show.
All wishes are made out of frustration. When enough people wish for something, it transpires. Discourse is a powerful thing.

Incredible operation the kill count of dead terrorists now stands at 50 since the Kech attack, with operational photos and ID’s of these lot.
As mentioned by many commentators these dead terrorists are now causing massive non irreplaceable losses, which could mean an end to it all. Not only have major commanders been taken out, but also all their men under them.
As more details emerge the trend seems to be many of them were caught unaware and surprised even in a state of relaxation at a camp, before the bullets rained down, meaning intelligence is pinpoint.
Until the BLA, BLF are shattered and wiped off the face of the known earth nothing can be done in the region. Peace overtures were made to them they replied back on Twitter they wanted a fight, a fight they are woefully unprepared for and now are losing at a rapid rate.

It is still confusing

Security forces conduct operation on presence of terrorists in some mountain range far away in Baochistan

How would they apply the above three conditions to above operation? How is it practical?

Who cares about what ordinary Pakistanis wish for, they are still stuck with roti kapra makan, there has always existed a 180 between what is said in pre election campaigns and how elected legislators and governors behave post election (heck did we ever have a fair transparent election?).

We are not talking about one institution, we are talking about the whole system, what you are wishing for is only possible after demise of the current system which only serves the interests of the people and forces who over the period have gradually molded it to what it is now. Judiciary is not judiciary but a mafia and given our current system what you have wished for only means pitching two institutions against each other, the maturity required for all this is non existent in every sphere of Pakistani life.

Here is a rough answer:
  1. The LeAs will take every precaution to ensure that the suspects constitute a lethal threat.
  2. Before using lethal force, the LeAs will provide suspects with the opportunity to surrender.
  3. The LeAs will make an exceptional effort to achieve the surrender of new recruits.
  4. The LeAs will make an exceptional effort to avoid collateral damage.
  5. The LeAs will make an exceptional effort to prevent harm to non-combatant aiders and abettors.
  6. The LeAs will use proportionate force.
  7. The LeAs will build a strong case against those arrested or killed and demonstrate that their response to the threat was proportionate to the threat and in accordance with the law.

If you do a little digging, you should be able to find better-written models from around the world.

Hire a reputable law firm that specializes in criminal law. Good police forces around the globe already use such regulations. Work with a few good police departments.

Power needs to be taken from these sardars too. However, this power is peanuts compared to the power in other parts of Pakistan. Yes, those provinces contribute more to the economy. However, if you want to keep a less productive unit of the country within the fold of the federation, you will have to throw money at it - at least until its economy takes off. This is done everywhere in the world. Less productive units are subsidised. Now, you might say the subsidies will only serve the local sardars. You will be right to say that, which is why I am proposing, as I have proposed many times before on this forum, that we need to devolve power to local governments.
You are essentially proposing to re-implement Musharraf's 17th amendment to reverse the devastation caused by the 18th.

It's not a law and order issue. It is war against the state. You don't arrest and apprehend armed to the teeth and trigger happy combatants, you terminate them with extreme prejudice.

@Foxtrot Alpha

Any further info? To which group these guys belonged to? Some are saying they belonged to BRA. Is it true?
Chatter is sooo dead right now ---- no one is saying a word.....the only lead we got was to at Twitter profile and that was just from one person.

We are re-considering if we got the right info for that account.....

Once something comes up, it will be here

Question, why so many of them are getting killed suddenly? Have Afghanistan finally become no go area for BLA terrorists?

These guys are killed in Pakistan not in Afghanistan or Iran

Although BLA terrorists have moved from Afghanistan to Iran after Taliban takeover
