I think all fighters the US delivers have an indentification system which shows which air force is a friendly and which is enemy.
Turkey has the source code so they changed it.

Iraqs F16 will see all neighbours friendly except Iran and Syria ( I think ).
So that F16 will be good for ground attack mostly..
But why are they afraid selling AIM 120 if the airplane cannot target their friendlies anyways ??

Pakistan is a nuclear power with one of the most powerful armies. They should be vocal against this.

If not which person would rather want the tiny Israel (without any resources) as the best friend if you can have very good ties to all Arab countries who are 500 times bigger, more populous, with much more natural resources, potential, strategic importance and religious/world importance if pushed in the right direction.

Next time, instead of buying weapons for billions, the money should be invested on the manufacture of weapons. KSA has already planned to do that and is about to build industrial cities etc.

Turkey helped building the F16, Turkey Gets F-16 Source Code
Here the US gave them the source code, I think its because they are NATO, also so that they can use their own made weapons on their F16s.
They could do it with other US made fighters but its unrealistic, they won't risk it.

This is why even GCC countries are sometimes going to Russia for air defence systems, cause the US stuff sees all their allies as friendlies.

Really ? Like 80 ‘Dassault Mirage 2000’ (UAE, Qatar), 84 ‘Eurofighter Typhoon’ (KSA, Oman), 82 ‘Panavia Tornado’ (KSA) or soon the tens of future ‘Dassault Rafale’ [very probably for UAE (60 aircraft) - with ToT - but also Qatar (24 or 36) and Kowait (18 or 22)] in GCC air force. ^^
