First of all, if you have to accuse of me trolling, PLEASE DO SPELL MY USERNAME RIGHT.

I considered that is an insult if you trying to insult me but you got the wrong username. My name is JHungary, not Jhungry. People have got to get this right or instead of insulting me, you would be insulting an entire Fast Food Chain, not that they needed insult anyway.

Secondly, the term "Vietcong" as mentioned by Vietnamese member here are created with Degradation in mind, it was not a short of Vietnamese Communist, that word is V-Com or VCP. The word is not originally a short for anything, it does not have a term Vietcong to begin with, it was made solely to degrade an entire group of people.

Now, the war is far over, calling Vietnamese in general as Vietcong would even lost the original taste and would consider very offensive to North and South Vietnamese alike. It was a slur before, and it is more than a slur now.

Finally, I am not the one who jump up and down wanting to clear this up, that guy have 3 negative rating in 4 minutes because he post 3 exact same post in 4 minutes, he is the one making noise, I don't really care what he is thinking of me or to some extend what you lot think of me anyway.

Chinese Communist, but it would be consider an insult if it was referring to anything Chinese, like Bags or Watches of inferior quality or if it was used as a reference to Chinese in general

a lot of slur for Chinese, have heard most of them in my whole life

Warn or suspend, not negative votes.

So I guess posting anything "genocidal" cannot be used as a justification for a warning?

I am sure this guy has a lot of free passes.

If he is angry, he can post anything without reprimand, yet when Filipinos (or any other non-Chinese member) post anything similar in sentiment, they get a negative vote, a warning or even a ban.

Or even this. I guess I can't be racist, but he can!

Word Origin
from Vietnamese Viet Nam Cong San Vietnamese Communist

Anyone who wants to take Vietcong as an insult - then an insult is born within him/herself instantly

A poster who is Vietnamese have considered it as an offence, which means that you must not speak that in first place.
Next time,If you were found using terms which are offending any person, albeit it is not considered as slang by you, then you will be issued negative rating, warning or it could be permanent ban.
There are some words which may not be looked like offense to one nationality, but they might be considered as offence by nationality in question.
For example, the term third world looks bad,as compare to underdeveloped..similarly Bangali sounds bad,and Bangladeshi is more preferred.
Please avoid such in future,no matter they are offensive or not,if hated by a poster...avoid it.

regards

i don't get it. why is it offensive for them to be called Communist? i can't imagine how can other country, like Democratic countries are offended by calling them for example : Ame-demo (American Democrats).

it's funny that anything can be considered offensive to Chinese members here. why don't we just shut down the site and rename it "Chinese Defense Forum "Again".

Ironically, when you use Chi-com on an actual Chinese Communist, it does not consider as insult as such, that only considered insulting when a person, or thing, are related to Chi-com for no particular reason.

Like "This Chi-Com Car is no good" this would be considered an insult to the car maker, or "This Chi-com is talking BS" this would be considered as an insult for that person if he is Chinese and if the person who said this have no idea who that person he/she speak to

Because victors writes history. Communism these days are like slur for most countries. Even Malaysian Chinese that don't vote for the ruling government are called communist. These days communist is no longer a threat, they move it over towards Jihadist.

is it that bad in Malaysia? i'm not the one to talk as we are doing the 1965 communist purge, but even today nobody in Indonesia ever make a fuss over communism. those who makes fuss over it are mostly comes from the west even though they are who support the move.

is it a common call for Chinese people in Malaysia?

Only recently on the apparent weakness of the ruling coalition, if you are the far right. "Cina Komunis" propaganda is just silly.
