TÜRKVIZYON SONG CONTEST 2014 TO LAUNCH IN TATARSTAN'S CITY OF KAZAN

turkey song

disgusting... couldn't the decisionmakers sent forward something more traditional, like the Kazakh girl did? for eurovision this might have worked, but for Turkvision it feels totally out of place. my 2 cents. well deserved 1st place for Kazakhstan

Turkey has such a rich music history. They put that all aside and come with some bubble gum English popsong. :(

I hope next year the music will be more Turkic but it still can be modern. Last I listened to a Kazakh group which used rock with throat singing. It was awesome.

Bro, can Turkish people understand Kazakh language? It sounds , to my ears that is, very similar.
I can understand huge parts of the Kazakh language but they need to speak slow. For Turkish speakers and vice versa it only takes couple of months to be totally fluent in the other language.

Example when they are not singing:

70 % or more depends on how much speed and special words they use..
and it depends local kazakh dialects some are hard some are closer.. but mostly I have the feeling some kazakh speak with russian accent because of nowadays kazakh films is quite more understandable than some clips on youtube... maybe someone can give us more information on dialects ?

(sometimes it can be that I dont understand anything just the grammar)

There were 4 contestants who sang in Azerbaijani language from Azerbaijan(North Azerbaijan), Iran(South Azerbaijan), Iraq(Iraqi Turkmens), and Georgia(Georgian Azerbaijanis), but non of them placed in a good ranking :(
The Southern Azerbaijani contestant presented the most weird version of "Heydar baba". He was almost good though.

Very intriguing! They look East Asian, the language is somewhat similar sounding to Korean and even Japanese.

Atatwolf is going to be very excited to hear that.

Jokes aside Koreans and Japanese are admirable people, a shame we arent neighbors. :)
