Possible steps to counter the rising threat from IAF ?

you could have a SAAB propeller plane or a Fokker serve as a missile truck and unleash 35 BVR missiles.....risking a total of 2 or 3 planes but threatening to take out the entire invading regiment.

?????

How would that SAAB propeller plane or a Fokker guide those missiles to their targets?

How would that SAAB propeller plane or Fokker catch up with fast moving Jets?

How would that SAAB propeller plane or Fokker attain operating altitude in small window of opportunity that a invading airforce would present?

Pakistan already had a MOU with China to develop stealthy variant of JF-17 as reported in media some time ago. If this kind of variant is developed then IAF air dominance is nearly equalized till they have their 5th gen jet but PAF had to build and start deploying it till 2019 to close gap in tech.

JF-17 could not be converted into stealth aircraft. It does not have Stealth capable Airframe.

Whosoever signed that MOU is a delusional idiot who is being ripped off by Chinese.

High Low level radar coverage with Full spectrum SAMs...... best way to counter any air threat..... when the radar starts to track a plane the RWR tone strikes terror in the head of the pilot.....enuff to make him think otherwise

Hi,

And then the anti radiation air to surface missiles start to rain down----. Pilots are not scared that easy

Mig21 bison only no 120 planes.

They will not leave Indian airspace and will provide cover to Indian assets in Indian air space only.

If a small fleet of paf fighters attempt a strike on sir bsse near loc in Punjab etc they will provide back up quick reaction to the mig29 to help destroy the paf.

But I can't see you guys coming into our airspace. You will launch missiles only and don't see manned fighter raids in our side of loc

This isn't true mate - the IAF is still inducting Su-30MKIs at a rate of around 1 SQD a year, orders will be complete in 2019 (all 272 in service) when the HAL production lines will switch over to the FGFA. Additionally the LCA is going to be produced from 2015 onwards (some squadron a/c are already under production. Additionally the IN is still yet to completely receive the last orders of their 45 MiG-29K/KUBs, which should happen in the next 12 months.

I 'estimated' +400 figure by

IAF Fleet
SU-30 MKI = 272
MiG 29 = 60
Mirage = 50
MiG 29 = 45 (IN Air Arm)
Total = 427

so all 272 MKIs, all 45 MiG-29 of IN, all MiG-29 of IAF which are being upgraded & all of the Mirage fleet which is also going to be upgraded.
