Yuan Class coming PN's way?

Everyone? I know of a few countries that really do not like China.

As for erverything that has been given to Pakistan from China. I'm certain that there are things that pakistan had asked but China would have rejected but the details were kept in secret. Otherwise, Pakistan have been smart enough to not ask for what it cannot get. Such as ask for ICBM tech or nuclear reactor tech in the latest Chinese nuclear subs.

Our SSM missile system foundation is based on the Chinese tech, so China did not said NO in this field. Plus China can't give ICBM technology as it is against the MCTR and other intl agreements which China and Pakistan have signed. Plus we don't need ICBM for the time being, we need missiles to target our main adversary, and that we have done and making them more lethal. Once we perfect the regional delivery systems, then we will see about ICBMs, which won't be much of a problem.

Same can be said for nuclear tech in subs, its not even confirmed that we need nuclear subs for the time being, our goal is not global or regional domination, we have defensive doctrine, so don't think for now nuclear sub fits in this doctrine.

And even if we ask China for nuclear sub tech help, don't think they gonna say no, as they have already helped a hell more in our nuclear program then anyone else.

How about leasing a Shang class nuclear sub? Maybe this request went into the circular file.

As i said, we have to see that do we really wan a nuclear sub for the time being. The day we want it, we will let the Chinese now and if it helps countering India, China would have no problem in it. But as there is a MCTR of 300KM range rule, what would we do with the nuclear sub with no missiles in it. Its purpose is for a second strike role, without missiles, nothing. Yeah for training we can have them, but once we decide that do we need them or not.

May be nuke tipped cruise missiles from conventional subs would do the job for us.

Nuclear subs can be nuclear attack subs to hunt down nuclear ballastic missile subs. But as you said earlier, Pakistan do not need one. As India has no SLBM in service now to threaten Pakistan

Well nuclear ballistic missile subs can be hunted down by the conventional submarines too. Who said it can't or you need a nuclear sub to hunt a nuclear sub ????

And India is going for SLBM, even they are testing it. Sagarika (K-15) is its name. Soon to be inducted.

And as i said, conventional subs can look and take care for nuclear subs, but the conventional one should be a good one.

And a conventional sub equipped with nuke tipped cruise missile can be a good answer to a nuclear sub equipped with SLBM.

As long as it is Yuan from China, and not Yuan in Punjabi
I think it is ok !

Sagarika (K-15)
The missile was successfully test fired six times, and tested to its full range up to three times. The tests of February 26, 2008 was conducted from a submerged pontoon off the coast of Vishakhapatnam
The Indian Navy plans to introduce the missile into service by the end of 2010

An assessment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (Navy) – PLA(N) – inadvertently released by the US Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) suggests that China will build over the next 10-15 years a naval force increasingly equipped for maritime security missions and humanitarian relief operations well beyond its traditional operating areas around Taiwan and the South China Sea.

At the same time, ONI assesses that the PLA(N) will continue to modernise its warfighting capabilities to shape a balanced maritime force commensurate with a shift from a strategy of coastal defence to a more forward-leaning naval strategy of offshore defence.

The report, entitled 'A Modern Navy with Chinese Characteristics' and dated August 2009, was briefly placed on an open source website by the ONI in November 2009 before being withdrawn from public view. However, in that time a copy of the document was downloaded by the Federation of American Scientists and remains accessible on its website.

According to the ONI, the development of the PLA(N) over the past decade goes well beyond the introduction of new equipment. Its report states: "Recognising that it takes more than technology to create a capable navy, China has also actively pursued the modernisation of its doctrine, organisation, and training with the ultimate goal of developing a professional force. While much work remains, trends in recent years indicate the PLA(N) is beginning to 'operationalise' its modern force, taking on new and more challenging missions

Given the kind of organisation in question, one should at least consider the possibility that the accidental publication of the report to the web wasn't all that accidental (a similar thing just happened with a NAVAIR report about the cost of F-35, promting Lockheed to issue a counter statement). After all, the USN will need funding in the future, which means it needs to convince the legislature that there is a sufficient threat to warrent spending.

song class is superior to yuan may be im wrong but my conclusion says me that song is better

Song is the older version, yuan is the NATO designation for the newer designed Song, as China has not given it any new Type designation, they may consider it a new modified better version of Song class.

Yuan is better and newer then old Song design.

Yuan has a mix influence of Russian Kilo 636 design and some design features from the older Song class. May even be having an AIP system, which wasn't there in old Song class variants.

yes i agree we dont need NUKE subs........some people say nukies possess more underwater endurance.....yes it may be a factor when IN would look to take out USA.....but think its not even a months journey from Karachi to all the main naval bases of India......so AIP would do just fine for us......if we are able to equip them with SLCM.....India may find itself in "hot waters"

Is there any equipment that China has ever refused to Pakistan ?
Or has Pakistan received everything it has expressed intrest in

well china never said NO to pak....
though there are certain things that pak never asked, cos we kno our boundaries...or u can say limit...
