China’s New Type 054B Frigates Break Cover At Two Shipyards

Can you guys all stfu lol

You're both arguing from different directions.

What is interesting is if those 32 vls on 054B are uvls similar to 055 or like those on 054A.

It's a small frigate. 32 vls at least of 054A capacity type and 8 yj12.

. .
LOL
Time has changed.
Yes, and you probably can clone sailor right?

did they still make non-universal VLS anymore?

I mean Mk-41 is a 1986 era design, and it is already universal

. . .
type 055 have 30 more VLS???

REALLY??

so 112 - 96 = 30??

lol, and that come from the same guy who call other dumbfck is just pure gold......

Dumbass, Burke is NOT dedicated to do ASW, ROMEO HAWK is......how many time I have to say that?

ANd you have Romeo Hawk to do ASW mean Burke don't have to, which spare more resource to deal with Air and Surface threat. Or did Chinese Destoryer run on unlimited missile and VLS I don't know about that?
Fine 16 more. So does Burkes need to be coupled with another ship? Lololol.

Exactly, if the helicopter is the determinate of ASW, so what makes you think we won't have a newer ASW helicopter in the future. How does ASW helicopters negate the 054B when it is the helicopter itself that determines this capability?

ALL DESTORYER HAD TO COUPLE WITH FRIGATE.

Didn't i had already said that? I mean, you want to gun in alone John Wayne style with a destroyer, well, you can go ahead and do that. I am not stopping you

Thew issue here is not whether or not Chinese Type 054B are more advance than FFGX (which is impossible to know as no FFGX was built yet). The issue here is where do you put it and how it work with the existing destroyer squadron. Because Frigate are supposed to be a jack of all trade companion for destroyer at sea.

As someone already pointed out,. 32 VLS probably not going to be enough for this role, because unlike the US Navy, where an Arleigh Burke have 90 cell (96 on later version) VLS and sub hunting is done with Romeo Hawk, which both are something Chinese don't have, as China do not have a good, dedicated platform for ASW and Chinese destroyer are only ~70 cell. Which mean there are going to be capability gap between the two.

ALL? Does US still have frigates? Lol. 100 Burkes and how many frigates?

Or what they are doing with the AB Class like this??

1693805213972.png

I mean, what does these 20 odd ship LCS ship (and counting) is doing then? And US also have other navy ship in its Carrier Battle Group.

And before you ask. Burke is an AWD (Air Warfare Destroyer) so they don't need anti air compliment on their escort

Still doesn't add up mate. You have like what 90 Burkes?

LCS was only delivered in 2005? Before that there were no frigates for a long time and US naval doctrine were using destroyers/cruisers alone. What does the word littoral mean? Lololol

70- Burke

And not all 70 Burke are at sea at the same time. and USN have close to 30 LCS in service now.

And who told you there are no Frigate serving the USN before 2005? Oliver Hazard Perry Class would like you to know they did exist.

You know this is going to be ended up in a screen cap somewhere, right?? lol US does not have a frigate for a long time.........

And what does the word "Frigate:" mean? it's a funcionality based word. You can build a ship and call it pothead class and use it to accompany the destroyer like this

Yeah, it's not called a Frigate, but then the F what? does it really matter??

Don't argue with me mate, Oliver Perry's were decommissioned by 2015 and by then US had no frigates. Hence why you have an article i just posted. Don't argue with me man, argue with that article. Lolol.

I asked you do you understand the word littoral?

So how do you get 1 destroyer 1 frigate pairing? Doesnt add up mate, even if you include maintenance. LCS don't even operate in the same fleet. Lolol

Yeah, I can't argue with you any more

You said there were A LONG TIME before 2005 that US operate any frigate

Han.png

Yes, there are no Frigate for a long time.......yes, the entire class of ship does not really exist and that just blanked out with the US Navy history between 1986 to 2015.

And again, so the F what, it's not call a Frigate, it's still a 4000 tons ship, so yeah, US has no Frigate between 2015 to whenever FFGX went into service, but again, then the F what? I mean if you REALLY that hang up on a name, sure, I will give it to you, US does not have a Frigate between at least 2015 to 2025. Okay?

And I will end this discussion with 2 photos, because seriously, I can't look at you seriously anymore...

And yes, it does, accoprding to the US Navy

"NEAR" future, so no. You probably would still be building Type 055/Type 052D in near future, unless by "near: future you mean in 25-30 years, that's not near future in my definition
How many VLS would you say would be adequate for the ASW role for the Type 054B and why?

What is a typical load out for an Arleigh Burke with 96 cells in the ASW role?

Yup the last oliver perry was decommissioned in 2015, you have like 90 destroyers? So essentially you had no frigates in the fleet. 2015 to 2023 is roughly 10 years mate. LCS are not operating in the 7th fleet mate, it is used for littoral mission near US continental shore. How do you get the pairing? Lolol
