Why Chennai can't and won't speak Hindi

How delusional? How ungrateful? You were defeated by Mughals, then some Europeans. You don't even have your country. But thanks to the British, they created a new country called India. Otherwise you go back to Mughal empire and a few kingdoms.

So which modern country was a nation in the present sense a few hundred years back?

Was Germany a nation
Was Italy a nation
Was Belgium a nation
Were the Balkan countries a nation
Was the US a nation
Was Iraq a nation
Were African countries nations
What about UK before 1500 Or so, what about France

Did the concept of a political nation state even exist a few hundred years back

India has always been a nation, even in political sense - one emperor with subordinate kings who had autonomy except in a few matters like coinage, foreign affairs etc.

So stop your retarded yakking if you know so little about Indian history.

You're a poor student of history, Yes they were mostly one country, :omghaha: :omghaha:

Was Germany a nation - YES
Was Italy a nation - YES
Was Belgium a nation - YEs
Were the Balkan countries a nation--some
Was the US a nation -YES
Was Iraq a nation - YES
Were African countries nations - Some
What about UK before 1500 Or so, what about France - YES

India was never one country. You guys love to talk abt Maurya, but it lasted only 130 years, even Mughal lasted longer, 300 years. And what happened to the rest of the period? They were all different kingdoms, hence, you have so many kings and different languages. Be honest .:coffee:

@Fattyacids are you really so illiterate. Even a middle school student in India knows that Germany and Italy became nations in late 19th century, and the US in late 18th century. Iraq was a part of Ottoman empire till the start of 20th century. Look up the others yourself. I cant be expected to waste my time teaching illiterates.

And so what was the difference between the German principalities and the Indian states. Why would Indian states not have united in the same way the European states did?

And India has had a lot more central dynasties than just the Mughals and the Mauryas.

Prussia was Germany, LOL. US became a country in 1776.

India has no dynasties, becoz you don't have a central emperor. You cannot have 5 emperors here and 8 kings there, and call yourself one country. No doubt, your civilization and history go back a long way but that's entire South Asia. India was only created in 1947. I don't know what you're taught in school, but every history book says the same thing. It is a historical fact. Period.

LOL, wikipedia map is wrong :omghaha: :omghaha:
China was one country since 221 BC, even indian member said, from post 71
China is almost one race, almost one language. Qin Dynasty unified China in 221 BC. and more or less it has remained Unified ever since under different dynasties. So the national Identity of China is much older(ancient) than of the present day India.

Now go cry :laughcry: :laughcry:

You are a big retard. Prussia was Germany? So what was Saxony?or Bavaria? Or Schleswig Holstein? And how were these different from Rajput or Maratha Principalities in India? Find out when Scotland became part of GB. You think there is a law that all nations have to follow the Chinese political pattern? When did Flanders and Wallonia become Belgium?Did they have a central emperor a la the Chinese? What was the relation of the king of Lombardy to other Italian princes when Garibaldi united Italy? What was so unique about Indian states, all mostly ruled by Rajputs, and of the same religion and culture, that they could not have united?

Wrong .Khalistan map is the old sikh empire of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The proponent of khalistan theory use the map of Sikh empire for Khalistan. Don't worry if Pakistan gives the old sikh empire land ,then we will give east punjab too.

http://www.defence.pk/forums/centra...h-right-propagate-khalistan-peacefully-2.html

The geographical boundaries of Khalistan will include current East Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh, part of Rajasthan and small part of Uttar Pardesh. River Ravi on the west and river Jamuna on the east will be some of the boundary lines between Khalistan & Pakistan, Khalistan & India respectively. In the north, part of Himalayan range and in south, part of Thar Deset will make the geographical boundaries of Khalistan."

Sikhs are asking fair deal, they want to live in peace with pakistan & india. They never asked for west punjab, this is all propaganda by hindus.

So what's your point!!!! We have worked hard to be where we are now!...in 60 plus years.....in comparison where are you in few centuries....that is a question you need to ask yourself. Yes we have our faults ...and we will fix it...for sure.

As far as the Mughals. Influence...we know where the respective countries who were formed due to their influence stand today...!

Mongols had to adapt to our culture and language. I have made my point and you made yours, peace dude!

Ok, I'm impressed by your honesty and knowledge of our history. I'm happy to have an intellectual discussion. Don't take that post too seriously, it was meant for trolls, too many indians trolling.

I have been working with a lot of Chinese fellows for the past two and a half years, it has helped me to understand China's culture and thinking better. I am aware of my history and to some extent of the surrounding region. The past sixty years are more important to me and to Indians at large than what has been before. and amazingly I have relatively low knowledge of it. Please don't go for India bashing unilaterally, I will defend what is true but my nation comes first to me.

The different Languages are a part of our heritage and they need to be preserved to preserve our diversity and our culture, I speak for all the different cultures and ethnicity that reside in India. Our Diversity is our identity, it is the unifying factor. Peace out.
