Anza was developed with either help of China or North Korea.some claims that it is based on Chinese HN-5B when others claim it is copy of SA-7(actually HN-5B is a copy of SA-7).

MK-II and III is based on Chinese QW-1 and QW-2.

next,Mig-27 wasn't shot down by Anza,it faced Engine trouble.and MI-17 was shot down by Stinger,not Anza..

@ALOK31 it still does not prove how low the mirage was flying and how i know because i have operated Shadow RQ-7 and you can take BEtter video quality then this one at about 15000 ft high outside the range of Anza and also India was Bombing Its own Occupied Terroritory it was not bombing in pakistan kashmir so nothing to be proud of and they had the right to fly in indian occupieed kashmir all the Planes that Crossed pakistani kashmir airspace they were Dealt With and after all that bombing the the original hill which pakistan Captured is still under its control Called Point 5353 Now you had your air force involved in bombing your own claimed land while pakistani had their airforce on alert if iaf cross pakistani Airspace over any region it would have been intercepted them what ever

It uses IR heat seekers as off Now and they have also incorperated Javelin for Anti tank role with stingers in it and Also they have a solid state Laser system in the testing phase

But pakistan can have the same thing on Mohafiz with Anza and Bakhtar or ONly anza or Only Bakhtar on mohafiz instead of carrying it individually it will be mobile and can be Deployed very fast to various location via Mohafiz and will cover a larger area of Operation

Kargil Mountain average height is about 3250M and Anza MK-1 Max altitude is 2300M so if IAF are above 7000 m they where safe but its a very Potent Weapon system and with the new Anza Mk-3 Dual-band infra-red homing seeker its going to hit any helicopter and aircraft.
