our soldier didn't go all Gung ho on Indian posts , his weapon was down , he will sitting . and had no intention whatsoever of firing or engaging IA .

Ohh my Thick headed Friend , how was he suppose to surrender ? he was told that IA has been contacted and he will be returned safely .

What Bull Sh!t is this?

You guys and your dumb @ss theories

Another twist introduced, man you are a unknow events spilling machine!

Show some respect dude its not bharat ratshit or khemb mela where mandir swami's are think tanks its PDF and active military professionals are on board.

Besides the mutual attacks that seem the norm here a man was killed. Period. Condolences to his family.

I really think it's a lesson for us here that we civilians from both sides take armed conflicts too easy ( a guy was killed and we're making up stories on how and why he ended up there) and that we need to find a better way of communicating. The LoC is not segregated completely, it is possible to lose one's way. Regardless of what or why the Indians killed him it is regretable and that should be that.

there was no way for him to surrender .. he could have died without firing a shot , or he would have died fighting .
:hitwall: If he injured two of our soldiers, what do you expect ? Let him live and let him go back ?

What message will it send to enemy ? Indians don't fire back even if they get injured ?

I will wait for open source reports, rather than taking your statements as gospel. You speak as if you were watching it all on CCTV - his weapon was down, he was sitting, blah blah.

According to my "sources", he was running. Now what?

Then come back when you have an open source , till then , Get lost .

He did not fire First , he Crossed the LOC & realized it afterwards , he contacted his CC who told him to wait for further orders ( as they try to establish contact with Indian counter part , contact established & Indian's told that they will look into it ) , and around that time Indian post noticed him , & opened fire , he was not in a position to take a sustainable cover , so he had to retaliate , however lack of cover got him shot & he embraced Shahadat .

That is what I am told .

Fault was on both side , his fault was that he crossed LOC Unknowingly , and Indian fault was they were too impatient & Trigger Happy .

This version is really hard to believe but not unexpected from Pakistan.
I really wonder if the LOC is such a maze that you can't go back the way you came in unless you have strayed kilometers inside LOC. Also what you suggest is that he had a comm device. How can you come Kilometers inside LOC alone and then check on your comm if you are lost or not. What was he doing alone so far way from his unit.

And yeah when faced with armed opponents and if you have the intention to surrender you thow away your gun and shout "I surrender" But I guess its all IA fault. The Pakistani soldier is too naive and simple to do any wrong.

I believe this is either a case of Another Lover Boy or he intended to ambush and kill IA patrol. Its hard to believe any other version

people can sit in front of the PC's with a hot coffee and scream all they want but only soldiers serving at the front lines know the true realities ....

I Give up , i am just not in a mood today to bang my head against too many walls .

Have a Good day.

LOC is line of control its not an international border and if some one got any problem accepting it.he can see what is the status of loc on google earth.even civilians cross international border between pakistan and india.it is also fenced and heavily guarded.
but we are happy that our soldeir did not surrender to occupying indian army.

lol..that one incident really brings out many surprising possibilities ...

@Windjammer I presume there was a warning sign given first and Indian pilot chose not to fire. In this case, the soldier shot back so we also shot at him.

The comparison you have made is absolutely laughable... really..you are comparing an Aircraft with a Soldier in a volatile region were you have a habit of sending terrorists into India ? :astagh:

When your sworn enemy comes knocking at your door, you can either be a professional, a human or an opportunist.
@Star Wars, pity your school of thoughts, a fully armed fighter jet can do much more damage than a single soldier and may be the IA needs a refresher course in distinguishing between a soldier in uniform and a person in a covert mode.

I show repsect to people who are not biased and can put thier arguments about what is reliable.. not some guys posting stuff coming from lalaland. Im sorry he just does not satisfies my conditions for respect.

And shouldnt you do that too, instead of making up a running commentary of the events there, as if you were witnessing it?

You are the one who has been giving out stories, that too self contradictory ones, and now asking me to come back with open sources.

I was as polite as I could be, I could simply have made fun of your "reports".

Unfortunate choice of words for swearing, by the way. Why would you say "get lost" on a thread about your soldier doing just that and paying the consequences?

my school of thought has nothing to do with it ...what PAF did is exactly what any air force around the world would do..no surprise there.... Besides..The IAF pilot decided to surrender and not fire on the PAF unlike in this case....
