I agree but u should realise that unlike other forces we have bases in densely populated area. Security cant keep eyes on everyone When suddenly someone fires RPG's its devastating u cant defend with AK or G3.

Its a lame excuse dude, our security officials always give such lame excuses after every attack.

GHQ, mehran base, kamara, Abbotabad etc etc a long list man. There were concrete intelligence reports about the attacks on KAMRA , even the day and timing were mentioned in the reports. Even then, It was surprising that all 4 swedish AWACS were standing side by side without any protection under metal metal shade. PAF bought these 1.5 trillion rs. AWACS but didn't even bother to built proper concrete hanger facilities for these planes. Security establishment has repeated same blunder during all attacks on their installations.

u must realise that Armed forces are made to fight the declared war or defend in Surprise attacks but in the World history Surprise attacks have always been devastating. This is not fault of our armed forces. No i dont think so, Because in FATA what PAK forces have shown results have not been shown by Nato for a long time.

Frankly speaking dude, PA performance has been pathetic, both is wars against India or war against terrorism. We have failed miserably in FATA. We have no control over FATA region.

My point was people will think. So army needs to find a better strategy and make bases away from city which will assure that if suppose base is in desert and some unidentified car comes from far away it can be hunt very before.
The Terrorists are using mostly Suzuki Bolans which manly now is used as transport service u cant keep checking everyone...

So the best solution is transfer all bases somewhere out of city and as far as i know pakistan has atleast 6 extra bases in country side or in deserts or no population areas which can cover a lot ....

We don't have enough resources to finance such huge projects.

Its not new my dear, This was officially stated two days ago by the secretary defense before parliamentary committee. In the same meeting he first time disclosed about the complete destruction of one AWACS in Kamra attack.

Not possible because we are just talking about ONE aircraft we dont know much what was happened at that time might be they destroy "TWO" aircrafts so phir kya kahaygi is pe kam zalalat horahe hey jo baki dekha kar mazeed ****** hona hey in front of PUBLIC!

why can't we use 30 to 35 trained dogs to protect a base .... because at night dogs can detect a target and engage it better than human ............. it will give our forces to identify the target and locate it .......

Detection has never been the problem, it's the response.

There is a light year of difference b/w the response on Mehran base, then Kamra and finally Peshawar. With the response given at Peshawar being the best .

You could argue that it was around 9 the attack happened so everybody was tip top, but still the changes made by PAF after Kamra showed in the Peshawar attack.

okzzzzzz but dear still my point is there ......... dog is God gifted in these qualities why can't we use them for good..... cos they will be active even during later stages of night ......... better listening power , better smell , and better vision , so why can't we use them to protect our vital assets

Defense Minister Naveed Qamar had said:

The nose of the aircraft was damaged when a group of heavily-armed terrorists stormed the air base in Punjab province early Thursday morning, Qamar told reporters last night.

After initial repairs in Pakistan, the aircraft will be sent to Sweden - where it was manufactured - for an inspection, he said.

Speaking after he was briefed by senior PAF officials, Qamar said the aircraft was hit either by bullets or fragments of a rocket-propelled grenade fired by the terrorists.

It was not clear whether the plane was airworthy.

"A test flight of the aircraft will be conducted after repairing it," the minister said.

Though the aircraft can be repaired in Pakistan, it will still be sent to the manufacturer for an inspection, Qamar said.

"The engineers and technicians of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex have examined the partially damaged aircraft, and according to the initial report, this most advanced aircraft of the Saab-2000 category can be repaired," he said.
