Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

targeting and attacking and killing, wounded soldiers who are out war :undecided:
wonder what it was called if done by russians

i doubt cluster weapons would be as effective if used against trenches compared to open area. for trenches thermobaric weapons seems more logical

Russian don't have soldiers just rapist & criminals in uniform.

Now this is an epic burn. Not as epic as watching Russian being burned alive but still very good.

I previously stood on the estimate of 2 years, and 6 months, of which 2 have passed already. Even a tiny state like Lithuania will have more intel analysts working on Russian losses than this entire forum, so lets believe them as all of out estimates now span around the same 2 to 3 more years at around current level of attrition rate.

However, nobody can predict eventual flareups, and how much will Ukraine will be able to attrite during major counterattacks. It might be few percents above Russian monthly casualties, or they can lose double digit of their force in one month, or it can be a localised, or front-wide collapse, which will advance that date much faster.

Russian resupply ability is finite on:
  1. PGMs — built with now unavailable Western parts
  2. Planes — built with now unavailable Western parts
  3. Tanks with post-nineties level optics, and targeting — built with now unavailable Western parts
  4. Artillery tubes — Russia has sold mind boggling amounts of its artillery to African countries in nineties, so they are at most at 1/3-1/4 of what USSR had.
  5. Engineering vehicles — not manufactured in Russia
  6. Comm systems — they will inevitably run out of USSR era command vehicles, but they can always switch to near inexhaustible civilian comm gear
  7. EW systems — built with now unavailable Western parts
Russian resupply ability is limited in:
  1. Skilled soldiers — some portion of reservists will be invariably better fighters than other, and be suitable for non-disposable infantry units
  2. Artillery ammo — limited by production facilities available, and rate of acquisition from NK/Iran/China
  3. Old tanks — limited by tank repair plants available, but total amount available is in thousands.
Russian resupply ability is not limited in:
  1. Food — sanctions, nor the sabotage operation has touched that yet
  2. Fuel — Russia has few large refineries, and unlimited oil. Things may change if the West will freeze catalyst supplies, or something happen to refineries
  3. Small arms
  4. Civilian vehicles
  5. Reserve infantry — for as long as Russians don't arm them with anything more than small arms, and mortars, they can mobilise millions more

The conscripts and contract soldiers in Russia are not paid promised salaries, allowances and social benefits.

Source: Vyorstka, a Russian news outlet

Details: According to the calculations of the news outlet, since the beginning of March 2023, the salaries of the servicemen have been delayed or not paid at all in 52 regions of Russia and in occupied Crimea.

Instead of the promised 195,000 roubles [approx. USD$2,530 - ed.] per month, their accounts receive much smaller amounts.

Judging by the stories of the Russian servicemen themselves and their relatives, frequent problems with payments began in January, but at the same time, individual cases of withholding and non-payment of salaries, allowances and social benefits have been reported at least since November 2022. It is noted that both conscripts and volunteer and contract soldiers face this problem.

Since the beginning of March, dozens of messages about the non-payment have been posted in groups devoted to payments to conscripts on the Russian social network VKontakte.

In the comments, the authors of the complaints are often told that the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation officially transfers salaries from the 10th to the 20th of each month and that delays may be related to the transfer of the serviceman himself to another unit. In these cases, some admit that they received payments later. Others publish payslips from the personal online accounts of servicemen on the website of the Ministry of Defence, in which there are zeros in place of payments.

According to Dmytro Loboyko, the Head of the Regional Studies Centre, people from the Russian hinterland associated "the hope of qualitatively changing their lives, but they had to face reality" with payment for participation in hostilities.

That's a big thing currently ignored. PAY is a huge, huge motivation even for pressganged privates.

Since at least Song dynasty, if the soldier's pay doesn't arrive, the soldier knows he will be disposed off to not to pay government's debts to him.

Russia is very successful at suppressing their own military, but there were regimes who repressed their own military even harder, but still felt to military mutinies by regular soldiers because of missed pay.

Western terrorist mentality at a fine display here.

Their wrong doesn't makes yours right. Using depleted uranium will cause long term health problems and deaths in local Ukrainian citizens for years to come cause the battfle field is inside Ukraine.

West is ready to fight Russia till last Ukrainian, who cares about Ukrainian lives?
Do you even know what depleted uranium is, or how it's used?

If such Depleted or chemical weapons are used in a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, it will be disastrous.

.

Yes. It is the old agenda of the Brits: If its going the continental europe bad, then its good for UK. Its old stuff since many many centuries. And for the US its the "destroy all other".

West: "Russia is running out of ammunition, tanks!!!!1!1!"

Russia: "Hold my beer."

Medwedew, nick name “Putin’s mad dog”, is just a big mouth.
Russia production rate is 20 T90 per month.
With now Westen sanctions in place on chips, semiconductor, microcontrollers, etc. they will produce 10 per month.
