well i am not knowledgeable enough to say much in this regard but it was more of a statement on their end that we will hit back even though it cant hit the fast moving planes like jf17 or f16s.... helos sure! But at the end of day if its the best you got and in a fight you use what you have !

Lets say a man is sitting on a mountain. Top with a anza or a strela , so can he shoot down a fighter plane ?
As far i know we lost many planes in kargil to manpad
Basically i want to ask that if range increaes if one sits at a height with a manpad

ZU 23 mounted on pickups.

No radar guided FCS. Very basic. They wont hit anything flying high and fast. Low flying targets however will be chewed up. Old but not obsolete.
