Thanks but not thanks, Now we need Su-35 at any cost.

Yes, I have heard many times everyday, we can't afford and we can't get anything, it is one of our worst nightmares.

China/USA should teach Pakistan a lesson to improve our economy first and should punish Pakistan for no money available, Pakistan can't understand clearly on economy matters because of high illiterates, low educations, money problems and many unaffordable things.

When will our students and experts go to China or USA for economy studies?
Now our economy is growing again what we need is stability and peace in our country, Inshallah we will soon rise.

Pakistan has ordered a total of 111 F-16A/B aircraft. Of these, 71 were embargoed by the US due to Pakistan's nuclear weapons program. Of these 71, 28 were actually built but were flown directly to the AMARC at Davis-Monthan AFB for storage.
If all were delivered then Pakistan should have 142 by now.
ustaad je they stopped making them after 28 and don't you think 142 f-16s are not even peanut but chany ki daal in front of nukes and missiles ? be happy forget them we are 7th nuclear missile power of planet earth

The Pentagon sent the planes to an air base in Arizona and billed Pakistan $50,000 a month for their upkeep.

^^ this is from the article you posted, and no where it states all money was paid back to Pakistan.
Pakistan was perhaps given the record of spending, not the all of the money.
Further nonsense is written in the article... when they only mention Sharif as recipient, it was Baynazir who signed all the settlements and termed hay stacks sent by US as wheat, for the money paid by the great general Mohammad Zia ul Haq.

While its ok to get few of our old planes back, the bottom line is our Need for Airforce is for a different kind of plane
as its not 1980 anymore.

We are making our own JF17 2 seater plane

You are much worse than what I originally thought. Keep it up.

Stored F-16s can also be operationalized.
thats why they are in storage. amarc is a parts and rejuvenation facility. old planes or surplus planes go in and are either stripped for parts or put in long term storage. thats why the planes are white. to protect the planes from the suns uv rays and dust. planes that are in longterm storage undergo the process of being put in long term storage are offered to us/nato allies. and if they choose to buy them then the planes are simply reactivated and/or upgraded if the client requests it.

sarkaroo,,that's different aspect of this story......but eventually they are slowly coming back....Well from some sources, Pakistan negotiating Dutch F16s,,,,after F35 delivery...Once F35 start rolling , will see many F16s in the market for sale....

What are we suppose to do with this 1980's plane ?

It needs new avionics
It needs servicing
Its needs all system check and full investigation if its even flight worthy
Then what are we going to request a Block C/D upgrade which will come in 3 years ???
So in 2018 we will get few planes ?

Then it will not have AESA then what ?? its already outdated after all the upgrades we will do by 2020

May be the new AIM air to air will not even work on these older generation planes ? who will spend time and money to fix that ?

Pakistan's Need is Airprotection for its Navy Fleet and for that we need top of line Jet and only jet that fits the bill is Sukhoi-35

owe ask for replacement of 9 crashed aircraft 78+9=88 :usflag::enjoy:
we have gain from 36 to 76 since then no need to replace .crashes happen and then we move ahead . in last 21 years we have one f-16 crash .and last 6 years no crash of f-16 its a big achievement and we received award for this also
