Bamboo, banana plants secure rail tracks in Tangail

Dhaka-Bangabandhu Highway Bridge Station Master, Abdul Mannan, told Dhaka Tribune that he was unaware of these critical conditions .

Although, there is no hard and fast rule that bamboo cannot be used in place of iron bolts, I will take necessary steps against the practice,” he said.:lol::lol:

This level of 'efficiency' at making some infrastructure can not be expected other that slumdog BIMARU chamar. Even after 1st collapse, same incompetence and same mismanagement resulting in same collapse!! only possible by born Pajeets. How possible these Pajeets dream about competing with China? They can try 1000 years, but Pajeet will remain Pajeet.
When undertaking infrastructure development on a large scale, such incidents can occur. Similar incidents have been witnessed in the United States during infrastructure construction. Currently, there are 24 even larger bridges being constructed solely in Bihar, with the most expensive one costing 6000 crores. Additionally, several bridges are being constructed in the North East over the Brahmaputra river. These bridges are part of an extensive expressway network being constructed in Eastern India.

Constructing so many bridges at small interval will kill the river. Navigability will seriously disrupt, siltation will make river to fill-up and worsen flood problem. But as your nation have a habit of choosing poor, cheap quality work over sustainability or environmental protection, one can not expect any better.

Bangladesh built one Padma bridge maintaining highest quality. This Padma bridge will last at least 100 years, Richter scale 9.0 earthquake can not dent on this bridge. Can you imagine that! It's pilling goes deepest on the world, equivalent of 47 storied building below the river bed. No other bridge in this world are so strong and sustainable as Padma bridge. Many world records were broken by constructing this bridge.

But Bangladesh govt. decided to build no more bridge over Padma to maintain it's health and navigability. In the future only tunnel below the Padma river will be built.

Why should I for some idiot doing so? Its not that its a common sight where everyday hundreds are doing such. Searching internet for "sarr pleej shit post on India pleej sarr urjently" is not something I'm doing here .

That was a sarcastic post but I doubt chaddi stitchers would understand what it means.

Keep issuing brain farts bud.

Keep licking UP wallah boots while they keep calling you nokar names like "Macchi Bhaati".

WB is filled with spineless Hindutva bootlickers like this nowadays. I doubt if one can stoop any lower....

It is ironic for an adherent of an Arab ideology, which holds no connection to Bengal, to make such claims. Bengal is held in sacred reverence by Hindus, akin to the significance of Mecca for Muslims.
The name "Bilal" is inherently foreign to Bengal.

Don't insult our intelligence Rajesh - we don't function as a society on tatty dhoti BIMARU principles.

People in Bangladesh have little discrimination based on religion, unlike Modiland.

Please stop with your stories of flimsy bridges on shallow rivers (canals?) built with garbage tek-na-laaji. We saw how the Bhagalpur Bridge in Bihar collapsed - twice. As if we are supposed to be impressed with 6000 crore figure....

This bridge below was built with Tk.30,000 crores and employs civil engg. tech hitherto unknown globally. The depth of the Padma at the bridge site and the scouring on the riverbed are unprecedented - as is the fierce meandering nature and size of its flows alongwith wind-whipped waves. Where it meets with the Meghna is panic inducing for the less initiated. Any bhakt would literally $hit their pants crossing the river here. People need ball$ to live here - this is not Bhagalpur, Bihar.

The piling hammer for the bridge piles alone was custom built in Germany by Menck, then the world's largest. The pilings went down some 384 feet (38 stories deep). Each pier had six to eight piles driven deep into below the riverbed.

Reported by your own Godi Media but scarce in detail. India is getting this for free to help their transit. Some shuqrana would be nice from bhakts, but knowing how ingrate bhakts are, not expected.

Bengali Muslims are majority 60%+ in BD + WB, bengali hindus are a minority since even before 1947

Look at who is preparing the "EIU least livable country" forecasts on Bangladesh (and possibly also, Pakistan). How can you expect impartiality from these Marathi bhakt idiots?

We should be proactive and talk to EIU and appoint our own Bangladeshi experts instead of depending on Indian people like this who are undeniably partial.

These Hindutva aligned 'experts' have a deliberate mal-intent to produce sub-par impressions of Bangladesh and its cities - or will be ordered to do so by RSS/VHP functionaries. As well as paint India as a bright spot OTOH.

Just like that Gita person at IMF.

Ballastless elevated Heavy Rail Link from Dhaka to Mawa (Padma bridge) then onto Narail, Jessore and Khulna is nearing completion rapidly. Eventually Dhaka to Mongla/Jessore can be reached in less than five hours using standard rail equipment - and probably three hours using 150 KMPH engines and railcars. Presently Dhaka to Jessore is a 7.5 Hour rail journey via the circuitous Jamuna Bridge link.

Top 10 Least Liveable Cities
  1. Damascus (30.7)
  2. Tripoli (40.1)
  3. Algiers (42.0)
  4. Lagos (42.2)
  5. Karachi (42.5)
  6. Port Moresby (43.4)
  7. Dhaka (43.8)

Do these 6 cities have any shame? How can they rank worse than Dhaka?
A barren land is more functional than Dhaka.
