REMEMBERING MY SENIOR SIR RASHID MINHAS

Because your sentences did not begin with 'please', I understand you are taunting at me. Well, we Pakistanis are generally emotional hence get beaten up easily. I will not blame you my friend.
bhai jaan you should also ask Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed a question - why was he in the open before he was hit by a tank shell- Please-

@Pakistanisage - I will never understand what exactly prompted the Bengalis to go for such wide-scale defections; how do you go from being a patriot one moment to a traitor the next with such conviction ?

And were there any Pro-Pakistan Bengalis through it all who accepted that the crackdown in East-Pakistan was wrong and morally reprehensible but still refused to betray Pakistan ?

Bengalis were traitors. And now that they are a satellite state of India they moan and groan. I am happy with our Pakistan, but they are now enslaved.

Not all of them. Late MM Alam after all belonged to East Pakistan. There were many at-least in the Armed forces who refused to go to Bangladesh and such was the level of patriotism that they always claimed themselves as Pakistani. I personally know some officers who worked with my father and decided to stay in Pakistan with their families.

Flight Safety officers or sometimes also called Ground Safety officers have the duty to check on Pilots to make sure Safety rules are being followed.

Sir if you dont mind
May I have your email address

I need to ask you a few questions

But I am not speaking about those Bengali patriots.

Well, Allah will for sure ask, why you endangered your life when it was not absolutely necessary.
Pakistansage was saying that mk was blaming RM for stopping the craft on airstrip ,which was more abt flying school laws.

U were questioning why he didnt eject.
iwont say this that Allah will ask him that, cuz rashid was sacrificing for his nation and also one doenst know what thought first came to his mind and then he went along with it. And then as someone said he was a young officer ,maybe an older one wud have taken a diff decision.

Honestly, i see lot of emotions in the thread too. When iwas a kid and i first read abt the incident i always used to think why he had to crash ,as in ,i never understood the reason. I used to think a jet taken to india wasnt precious than his life. But then full respect to his bravery, giving one's life like that is not what everyone cud do.

But how can it be a war trophy? It was a hijacked or as u said defected jet by a bengali traitor. And there was no war going on between india and pakistan going on.

As in if the jet had landed there, wouldnt under some intl law india wud have been bound to return it?

And what mutti wud have gotten by landing the craft in india?

And if india ever chose to brag abt this jet as war trophy then that showed her own cowardice that allowing a defector land on her soil is taken as an achievement by her.

Lastly, it was a trainer jet. Not a fighter.

But i honestly dont get what political fiasco wud have happened. Imean its not that paf fighting capabilities wud have been lost if one trainer jet was taken ito enemy territory. Or the morales wud have dropped.

I always thought sir rashid did it to prevent some classified info from being leaked out, but i dont know its said it was honor.

A defected military aircraft is a matter of shame for a country. It points to low morale and cowardice of its defence forces. Now have a look at these pictures and tell me how would you feel if these were Pakistani aircraft in our enemies hands
