Farakka is the only reason Calcutta port is surviving!

And thats the only reason we started hating you! and someday this hatred will destroy farakka. Do you know because of west bengals opposition GOI can't sign treaties considering the suitable share of water? Anyway why am I saying this in a forum, its no use.

I agree with you.But the dam is huge.Nowadays water is also released for Bangladesh in ample amount. But of course the amount is less than what it used to be before. It is considered enough to sustain life and industries.

But the problem is Farakka has become more like a symbol of tension between the two countries.Water levels vary each year.Low amount of water release in one year does not mean that such practice will be continued next year as well. But people in Bangladesh are river centric. The river plays a great role in the history and culture.
So,they don't like the idea of water level being controlled by India.

Actually you ought to stop your incessant anti-India garbage. Before advising us not to worry about Pakistan, you ought to stop worrying about India. You seem to worry more about India than your own country, going by your posting history.

I can assure you that I have no concern over India. I dislike Indian for many reason but main reason is that you people are double face cowards. I have met many Indians here to draw this wise conclusion.

Thankfully for both our countries, unlike you, the current Bangladesh administration is sensible enough not to allow terrorist scum to operate from their territory - they know how to learn from other examples in the world, and the subcontinent.

You thank Al me for the act of Ghaddari but know this fact that no power is permanent and nothing is for certain. AL created many enemies in home front thus death is very near for Al Ghaddars and it's collaborators.

So,supporting the terrorists would have made them better people??:rofl::rofl:

I think you need to read Farakka water treaty carefully which was signed on Jyoti Basu's initiative and then come back.

Hate us or whatever but you can't have all the water. 50-50 is the right thing to do which already has been implemented by Farakka treaty.

They are given their fare share of water. Period. There is a whole set rules which covers different amount of water-flow during different time of year. Any diversion from the treaty amounts to crime punishable by International court.

Farakka is very important for West Bengal.

Annexure 1

Subject to the condition that India and Bangladesh each shall receive guaranteed 35,000 cusecs of water in alternative three 10-day periods during the period March 1 to May 10.

So now we are on to Farakka barrage?

Maximum capacity of the feeder canal at Farakka, that feeds the Hoogly river in West Bengal, India, is 40,000 cu.sec. The maximum diversion of water into India, allowed under the treaty, is also 40,000 cu.sec during monsoon and minimum of 35,000 cu.sec at all times. In other words, it is physically impossible for India to divert more water at Farakka, even if it plans to.

Like their long lost western brothers, Bangladeshi politicians, at least a section of them, have mastered the art of diversion of internal strife to external factors. Farakka is just another cleverly crafted pinata designed to give the Bangladeshis a sense of catharsis.

@ I told you I read in an editorial but from today I will search for you. It was a detail description, how RAW organised. It does not mean that RAW itself had done it. By the way, so far we have seen so many plane hijakking once this IC-814 was hijjacked from Kathmandu, than landed at Amritsar, Lahore, Dubai and finally landed at Kandhahar, their initial demand was release of 35 Islamic militants and ransom of about $ 200 million to the Indian authorities. Indian govt released only three militants and what about the money(ransom) ? Not a single passengers were killed only one injured(died later) The hijjakars were in save heaven than why the militants were so liberal ? Even the hijjaked aircraft itself was handed over safe and sound. What a drama ?

@ You remember, the same drama you made in January 1971, when an Indian Aircraft was hijjacked and landed at Lahore airport and the ring leader called on Bhutto and altogether gave a "Narre, Azad Kashmir ZindaBad". The duffer Bhutto then requested the hijjakers to release passengers and the militant at once blew the plane after releasing the passengers. So, under that plea India stopped the East West air link. Though that inccident help us to stop the transportation of troops from West to East.

Brother, I am sorry to say that you have forgotten to mention the Bombay carnage. If the goal was to assassinate Mr. kalkarne (forgot the exact name), a police officer who was specifically ordered to investigate the issue of supplying arms by the Indian army to a Hindu terror group, it was a success.

Other deaths were only the co-laterals of that successful killing. These killings were needed to bluff the world. But, then the GoI vehemently started to blame GoP for that carnage knowing full well that RAW was behind it. Anyway, this is India. They will keep on bringing out all their Kautilla tricks to defame and destabilize its neighbours. Latest was the Pilkhana.

I can say a LOT of stuff about Bangladeshis based on what I see on this forum, and especially people like you. I can say, for example, that they are ungrateful 'namak haraam' people, but then you will whine about Indian 'bullying' and all that.

You thank Al me for the act of Ghaddari but know this fact that no power is permanent and nothing is for certain. AL created many enemies in home front thus death is very near for Al Ghaddars and it's collaborators.

The only Ghaddar here is people like you. My patience is wearing thin seeing this constant blabber by some Bangladeshis here about how 'BD should help in breaking off NE states'. If an Indian even dares to say something like that about BD, you people will start screaming: bully, bully! But it is all fine when people like you question India's territorial integrity, eh?

No one will take kindly to talk of their country being broken, or terrorists being sent in. No one in India really considers BD hostile, or an enemy, but people like you are trying your best to make that happen. People like you are the biggest Ghaddars to Bangladesh.

Another conspiracy theorist? Is Bangladesh also full of them? I had a good opinion of BD before, nowadays I am beginning to think it is just a small version of Pakistan!

There is no telling this guy. They will know if gunmen kill indiscriminately innocent people in Dhaka and their root traced back to India(confirmed by flagship Indian media and Govt), and we resort to such cheap 2 poisa conspiracy theories and blame Bangladesh for killing their own people.

Bunch of fools.
