Zaid Hamid on Russian Television

Alright! Alright! Too much of the trolling going on here, as usual Mr. Zaid Hamid's thread has been hijacked by bharatis.

Anyways, I'm just back on PDF after a long break, lets roll! ;)

What other things has it successfully prophesised? Titanic? bangladesh? 911? OBL?
Specifically mentioning pakistani army in an arabic book 1000 years before pakistan, is awesome if true.

There are many prophecies that have come true, to name few, the Muslim conquest of Constantinople, Persia and Sindh.

You can take your sarcastic comments somewhere else, because this thread is not about these issues and you are just insulting your own self by being sarcastic and disrespectful towards my religion. I hope mods take you down.

hmm, and it says pakistan ? well, as i say, hell with ur ummah thing (which dont exist) and for heaven's sake, quit portraying being the big brother of islamic world. arab world will laugh at you, especially saudi arabia.

infact gazwa e hind happened 1000 yrs ago when islamic rule came to india. its done and dusted. now it remains only in the fantasies of ppl like zaid hameed and definately you.

Again, I reported your posts for being offensive towards my religion, the concept of 'Ummah' is vital part of Islamic religion.

Coming to the bold part, why do you even comment about something you don't have knowledge of? There are many great scholars of Islam who have studied and have spent their lives researching about these prophecies, I really don't wanna explain anything to you, just to clear on point, the Ghazwa e Hind Hadith is mentioned to be at the end of times, when Jesus [P.B.U.H] will descend to earth again. Now I would request you to please do not make more fun of yourself and don't ask a stupid question again.

and this showz you have nothing to argue about but just blabber. if i dont agree with your beliefs then i should get lost ? who da hell are u man ? some prophet ? as far as me quitting this forum is concerned, then i came here for educational reasons and its a great platform for the same. for rest mods are the best judge.

Disagreeing is one thing, passing sarcastic disrespecting comments is another. You have come to wrong place to argue!

mate the creation of Bangladesh is proof there is no ummah.......keep dreaming

Nope, the concept of "Ummah" is in hearts of the Muslims, it can never be dumped because it's a vital part of the religion, Islam commands us to strive for unity of Muslims if there's not at the time, that's what Muslims are trying to do now, the day is not far when a Union will again come into existence.

our sociology professor says, never in the world was religion the base. it was, is and always will be the culture. thats why we reject 2 nation theory. not coz we dont accept pakistan. every indian does accept. in world war, christians fought amongst, in subcontinent muslims fought, (babur vs ibrahim lodi and pakistan vs bangladesh), in post ancient and pre medieval india hindus fought amongst. so if u see, all the wars were coz of ideological barrier. you can bring religion per se to set the parameter. ideological barriers isnt restricted to religion only.

Your professor is wrong my friend, if Religious Ideology was not the bases, today you would have been living in a United India ;)

can the supreme court form a caretaker civilian govt and dissolve the current govt??

Total crap from ZH the great 'Defence Analyst'. If that is analysis, then what is paranoia? Americans attacking from the west and India attacking from the east!!! What is that guy on? He keeps ranting about the Americans inducting nine armoured infantry divisions through these blocked convoys. Some one should tell the guy that the Americans do not operate armoured infantry divisions. The Abrams tanks are the US MBT and the US was planning to sent upto a company (squadron) of the M1 to Afghanistan for use by the Marines in the Helmand province. Other NATO members have already been using tanks in Afghanistan.
U.S. sending tanks to Afghanistan for the first time - CNN

No one carries out an invasion with a company of MBT. OTOH, by not allowing the MBTs and other combat resources to the NATO troops in Afghanistan, Pakistan is indirectly aiding the Taliban against whom these stores were to have been used in the first place. He says that the Americans had imposed the Pakistani regime to achieve the softening of Pakistan ......... I had thought that the present Pakistani regime had been elected to power by the Pakistanis themselves.

Does he have the faintest idea of what it takes to prepare for a ground invasion? That too against a capable army like the PA? If the Americans were planning to invade Pakistan, the whole world would know about it, and they surely would not be doing it through Pakistan.

One thing I have to give it to this guy though, even when he is spewing total rubbish, he does it with so much confidence and elegance that the uninitiated and the ignorant is taken for a ride. That is exactly what his audience comprises of. The ignorant but the hyper nationalistic.

St first I thought he was great, then I heard some of his rants and didn't think too much of him, and then I saw how much he irked Indians so now I really like him :D

Zaid Hamid is not a bad person, and his patriotism cannot be doubted. I can understand why what he says, really shocks these Indians and gets them so very uppity and over-excited, but that's cool. I like that the things he says, has such an effect on Indians.

However, I feel that he used to be a "softer" or kinder person, he'd even listen to anti-Pak elements on the media with patience and tolerance. However, with all the things he's had to go through since he came on the media, first this whole "Yusuf Kazzab" thing that was later proven to be a hoax, his bread&butter being targetted and alot of insinuations and pressures being heaped on him, I feel he's become somewhat bitter and harsh.

His shows were very popular on the media, and as his star rose in the Muslim world, like with him speaking on Palestinian&Arab radio channels and Ahmedinejad personally meeting him, more and more crap got piled on him, with "liberal" pro-western elements in our media, for example, SAFMA chief and Bolta Pakistan anchor Nusrat Javed personally targetting him very viciously, among other media persons.

I was reading Zaid Hamid's recently-released book, "From Indus to Oxus", and was very surprised at some of the harrowing experiences he went through as a Mujahid during the Afghan-Soviet War. After Zia-ul Haq had been killed and the "democratic" Benazir Bhutto govt, to please the Americans, forced the Mujahideen to fight a desperately hopeless pitched battle at Jalalabad, and this one thing really shocked me: When Zaid Hamid's commander from Afghanistan got in touch with him and told him how bad the situation was and that they were requesting all volunteers to immediately return, Zaid Hamid still chose to go, leaving his one-week old first born child, not knowing if he'd even return(*Very* heavy casualties in the Battle of Jalabad).

One thing even his worst detractors can't empirically deny, is that there is nothing in his message, that isn't pro-Islam and pro-Pakistan.

Will you like to google yourself or should I give you examples of the same. Let me give you first one.. The bullseye view from the submarine. Secondly the meaning of the Indian national emblem and flag.

^^^^ @ #44.
Yes, he is all that and more but for heaven's sake don't call him a defence analyst. He doesn't know much about defence and to be an analyst, one has to be an expert. We also have a few ignoramuses masquerading as 'defence analysts' on our side. They make statements now and then which make no military sense and are actually embarrassing.

.
really???

by this logic iran is also waging war, also turkey is helping iraqis win war by not allowing its territory for invasion

The analogy is not accurate. I just pointed one or two flaws with the reasoning given by ZH. There are many flaws because his statements are not based on sound military knowledge but rather on emotions and nationalism. His contention of the Americans preparing for a ground invasion of Pakistan is incorrect and laughable.

.
That guy called Hamid a 'defence analyst'? :woot: Of a 'think tank'?? Jeeez! If that's the standard of think tanks then they must be pretty empty just like Hamid's head which he uses only to keep his ears apart!!

The IAV Stryker an armored vehicle which is used by the Mechanized Infantry Division. You can also call it Armored Infantry Division. This vehicle falls under the category of IFV, and is known as an Infantry Fighting Vehicle. It is currently deployed in Afghanistan by the United States. So ZH's point cannot be considered untrue.

Hey buddy, Strykers are light ICVs, that is it. ICVs are allotted to armoured divisions, mechanised divisions, motorised divisions and even infantry divisions. The US does no operate armoured infantry divisions. There are no motorised or mechanised or armoured divisions in Afghanistan. The US ground forces operating under the banner of ISAF comprise mainly of the US Marines, US Army and the National Guards who are reservists. The Strykers have been allotted to the infantry fighting the Taliban to give them more teeth and minimise casualties.

.
9 'armoured infantry' divisions? Their equipment is stacked in Pakistan? That's a lot of equipment!

Difficult to believe. Nice to have some facts.

He should learn to talk a little slower and quiter.

Yes, 9 'armoured infantry' divisions while total troop strength in less than 1.2 Lakh US troops in Afghanistan.

You don't have to believe anything ,just be a patriot like ZH ,the belief will come on its own.

.
Any non Pakistanis who see Mr.Zaid Hamid will see him as a fruit cake, sorry.
One must also remember that people like Zaid Hamid or his "think tank" earns its money by appearing on TV and make himself interesting. If people do not think he sells himself as a commodity, they should look at his hat and think about why he always wears it. And what does it help that he is a patriot if everything he says is wrong? No disrespect intended, because I can see our Pakistani friends puts him high, but try to look objectively at him and what he is, do not let your honorable national feelings make you blind.
