i completely agree. i dont think hes any less than a politician who tells things what ppl want to hear. exaggeration does makes some serious part in his talks.

The issue is not Zaid Hamid the issue is where are the real analysts and why they are not getting media time.
Imagine a quack being consulted on TV about a disease outbreak, not a specialist or a doctor.
I would like to know the name of a proper defence think tank in pakistan, it is not good to bash Zaid Hamid( or Bharat Verma) when we dont know about any proper defence think tank.( where money is spent in recruiting researchers, who publish research papers, that can influence establishment in some way)

But don't you think that this establishment (Army), is responsible for this internal collapse, Balochistan issue?? Although there can be external agencies working there but PA ai'nt doing any good over there too????

No they don't. Graduates of DSS later join organizations like ISSI, IRS, IPRI, IPS, ISSRA.. who publish articles on internet..

When you are a 'defence analyst' on national television, every single word has to be measured.

Every single statement has to be backed up by facts, evidence.

'Armoured Infantry' divisions simply don't exist. At his level he should say clearly, are they armoured, infantry or mechanized infantry divisions.

That's equipment for between 108,000 and 122,000 men. There should be literally hundreds of armoured vehicles, artillery and support vehicles. Are they in containers in Karachi port?

Even if a person is saying the right thing, if you include total rubbish in your arguement you devalue that arguement. No body sensible will believe you.

I remember a muslim media person saying that there is a total lack of sensible, articulate rational spokesmen in the muslim world.

I don't think its a good idea for Pakistan to incorporate a country of a billion Hindus into the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It will never work.
