Thats acutally not bad, try the Alienware laptops if your looking fror great power and good cost.

What are you using this for ? I hope you just dint buy a 980x for gaming lol 980x is pretty much a waste, you can just overclock the 920 to get pretty much the same power.
Well, the reason why this was purchased was because I had a pay rise so I decided to splash some cash if you catch what I'm saying, financially stable to be buying this, I mostly use this for work but when I have time I also have my fair share of spoiling myself with games and ect.
I was really excited that day so decided to celebrate with some bubbly and something to remember my good old child hood.

Yes also I'm working on over-clocking, educating myself with some tutorials to do this myself instead.

Ya thats good that you had the money to dish out but be careful, the 980x is just overkill, no game currently requires such performance. You have a 5970 anyways which can eat and spit out any game there is. You could have saved a lot by just getting the 920 or 930 and over clocking it. I bought my system to spoil myself also but did a lot of research before buying it. Liquid cooling the GPU isnt required also unless you play games for 15 hours in a day lol

its very easy to overclock the I7's, let me know if you need help. But really you dont need to overclock this any further.

is it the Topest processor in Market?
The I7-920 is Quad core ; There have been I7-9XX which are Hexa-core too ; But AMD has launched Opteron which is essentially a 12-core processor, and has an 18MB (L3) cache.

Alienware Aurora ALX
Intel-I7-920 overclocked to 3.66
12 gb DDR3 RAM
Dual 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5870 Crossfire Enabled
DELL 24"HD Flatscreen
Alienware Tact X mouse and Keyboard
Alienware Tactx Headset
512GB Raid 0 (2x 256GB Samsung Solid State HDDs)
1TB RAID 0 (2x 500GB SATA-II, 7,200 RPM, 16MB Cache HDDs)
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium
Dual Drives: Blu-ray Disc Burner and DVD-ROM
Windows 7 Basic
What was the price of SATA RAID 0(1GB) when u purchased it ? I mean u must have added it separately rite. And secondly what's ur L3 (cache) capacity ? Nice config, i must say. Are you much into Gaming, by ur DDR5 Graphics RAM ?

the price was around $1200 when I got it with the system, i had Alienware configure everything for me so it had everything when I got it. L3 is 8mb if I am not wrong, would have to check when I get home. Ya I game quite a lot still but use it for a SCM application's also. I have Solid Works and CadKey and a host of other applications on it too.

Iam not computer savy, but if u asked ill tell you.

Where i start : HP Intel i7, Windows 7, 650 GB HD, 2 GB Navida force i dont know, combine that with my internet speed 16 MB, what ever it is its faster than my car.

Are you from that kiddy nerd hangout pakgamers or wccftech? I have seen this thread on those forums.
