All soldiers are acclimatised. In fact, they have to go through different high altitude warfare courses at the Army High Altitude Training School in Rattu before deployment. Unfortunately, high altitude sickness doesn't always care for acclimatisation.

This sher was from Astore, he was born acclimatised.



I believe Sibbi is also considered as a hard area, or at least it was. Even though, given the state of the base there, many opined that it should not have been.



I believe it's a voluntary assignment. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.


Don't know present classification of sibbi w.r.t assignment.

However, if we are to look from temperature perspective only (excluding hostility factor from enemy) then there are many areas with high temperature like chhor desert and other desert areas.
