Yogi Adityanath renames Faizabad district to Ayodhya

Ayodhya is a the name of a Hindu legendary city , it became the centre of Buddhist/Jain pilgrims. The Guptas rename Saketa to Ayodhya. Later Ayodhya was appropriated by brahmanists, similar to how Buddhism was appropriated, by adopting the finer refine teachings of buddha and declaring Buddha as the 9th incarnation of Hindu god.

My point - there is no mention of ram as god in the vedas, ram cult gain prominence after the the 16th Century after Tulsi das wrote Ramcharitmanas , extolling ram as the supreme god in the vernacular language of the region - awadhi.

Moreover, no where had Tulsi das mentioned that Babri masjid was the actual birth place of ram

Finally, I am glad that Hindustani are worshipping a Dravidian Tamil as their god

1. Ayodhya is a Legendary Hindu city. Only its continues to exist even today.

2. It is also a Buddhist and Jail pilgrimage center for obvious reasons. They have come out of Hinduism. (as as why Jerusalem is important for all abrahamic religions)

3. The location of Ayodhya is given in the Ramayana itself. Ayodhya was located on the southern bank of the Sarayu River (Known as Ghagra River now). It was the capital of the Kosala Kingdom who's southern border was the northern bank of the River Ganga.

Sri Ram, when he was exiled crossed the border by crossing the Ganga and walked to PrayagRaj (Triveni sangam) to meet Rishi Bharadwaj. He then crossed River Yamuna and walked 2 days to reach Chitrakoota.

If you look at the map of India, that is exactly where Ayodhya is still located.

4. People of Ayodhya and the surrounding areas always had 3 holy spots in that place.
a. Ram Janmasthanam (Place where Sri. Ram was born)
b. Svargadvaram (where Sri. Ram was cremated)
c. Treta-ke-Thakur (where Sri. Ram conducted the Ashwamedha yagna)

Aurangzeb destroyed all 3 locations and built mosques there and that is recorded history.

5. Kindom of Kosala had 3 main cities, Ayodhya, Saket and Shravasti. So its not Ayodhya that is missing, its Saket and Shravasti that is missing.

Ayodhya was always a FAMOUS city who's location can never be forgotten by the collective. The same way no one is confused about the location of the "real" Jerusalem.

6. Considering Sri. Ram was born on the banks of the Ghagra river which is NORTH of even Ganga, I am glad you consider him a Dravidian.

There should be no surprise if hindus are worshipping tamil god.
Hindus are worshipping even nizamuddin auliya, dewa sharif, ghazi mia of bahraich ,azmer sharif, never forget a muslim fakir sain baba of shiradi.
Hindus go to jains temple ,baudh temple, gurudwaras, churches .
This is matter of personal beliefs.

Looks like this fanta bottle CM has nothing else to do except changing city names

utter nonsense, mass conversion happened due to Hinduism's evil caste system , while a few nobles and royalties e.g the King of Kerala Cheraman Perumal converted to islam. He was suppose be the descendent of vaisnavite saint - Kualsekara alvar who like him abdicated the throne to accept Tamil vaisnavism .

Sadly for you , that story of Cheraman Perumal is FAKE NEWS

Its very much like the story of St. Thomas visiting India.

Both a fragment of the imagination by people who wanted to legitimize their conversion and find acceptance from the larger xtian and muslim community. lol.

Considering it is coming from you. I am even more confident it is authentic.

I know it gives you pain. But gau mutra drinking and hinduism are bound to perish

Renaming cities can't change that.

changing names of towns is just a political gimmick , the question is can the Hindutva psychopaths rid Islamic (Urdu - Persian - Arabic - Turkish) words from their Hindi literature or bollywood or remove Islamic influence from their cuisine and culture ?

Oh well, whether the Vatican pedos like it or not, we are changing the names.

our muslim brother's are a million times better and trustworthy than you Vatican pedos.

theres a difference between hindus worshipping nature, heroes, saints and the god ram.

Ram is accepted as the 7th incarnation of the god by orthodox vedic brahmanist. He has a sect Ramanandi in cow belt region for the exclusive worship. This cult comes under vaishnavism (sri sampradaya) sect/religion. He has religious hymns ,prayers (Kowsalya supraja Rama poorva sandhya pravarthathe ) written and temple for worship. Ram has a religious/emotional fervour on Hindiwalas e.g ram lila , diwali, ram navami, babri mosque and the mythological ram rajya

some hindu characters are legendary and they do exist even today

FYI, Buddhism rejected vedic brahmanism (hinduism)

Ramayana is not history book and there are various versions. Any thing can be written based on imagination, in the same way a comic character Batman can be converted into god and Gotham a holy city.
