It's no heroism. But being a pilot is a life risking career. You never know when there's an engine failure and you crash to death.

You are correct there. I do not second guess the decisions of awards, especially when I am not there to witness the event. Yes, based on my personal experience, I can make educated guesses. None of you ever served, so how would any of you know anything about putting your life in danger, if even just for a few moments. I'm not ridiculing the pilot, i just stated my opinion and said i'm not knowledgeable on this stuff. Also, you don't know if i have served or not.
