The world's first fuel cell bus which can use hydrogen fuel under normal pressure and temperature rolled off the production line in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, central China on Saturday.

The prototype bus named "Taige" finished its first trial run at a uniform speed on a 300-meter-long road at 16:00 in the afternoon.

As it is difficult to save the hydrogen fuel under the normal pressure and temperature, it has taken two years for Wuhan Geo-Resources and Environment Institute, Tongji University, Jiangsu Qingyang Energy Co., Ltd. and Yangste Automobile to solve the issue.

According to Hao Yiguo, president of the Wuhan Geo-Resources and Environment Institute, the fuel cell bus will be put into operation next year.

BYD is also building a factory in Wuhan....
But BYD is not Wuhan or your city's brand...
So, whatever.....

:frown:

How about 南车时代 TEG? :enjoy:

i still think electric bus is better.
I agree with you because the routine of electric energy is strategically support by government and it's policies.
But I also agree that the hydrogen cell technology can be inducted to the market. The technology itself is valuable.

electricity charging the cars, easier for people to do. hydrogen...most people don't know how they would charge it, etc.

but I think if porsche, BYD, bmw, honda, Maclaren, Toyota are for electric cars vs. Hyundai who is betting on hydrogen ...well you get the picture who is going to win :enjoy:

It is likely that there will be some market for any new technology, especially at this exploration and explosive stage of development. Like one member said above, even if the final product might be sidelined by the market eventually, the technology itself is still valuable and can be further explored.
