To save Secularism, I agree with the article. Modi, the once hated devil of the Seculars is not somehow the darling of the liberal left. Amusing.

There is one interesting factor at work here. First - swadeshi can go hand in hand with FDI. No conflict there. Both are needed. There is also no Hindutva in Swadeshi Jagran Manch.

Now the article actually is not one that establishes a point. It is only asking one. It's a question. Will the evil Hindus spoil India's economic growth? Honestly, that's an answer only Time can tell.
Now that the Liberal Left is crying for economic reforms, it is best to know that reforms are being done, the elite can be patient and watch it steady or take a hike. The mandate was not given to this Government from the cities of urban youth*.

*I agree that the urban youth supports BJP but they did not go out and vote for it in the elections. All cities recorded minimal voting percentages. BJP came to power on the shoulders of the poor, rural and semi urban people. They were the ones to go out and vote. So there is a plan at work. So if one thinks that this Government came to power riding the aspirations of market and economics savvy people, they are sorely mistaken. This is only as much as I can tell.
